The great thing about what their doing with Van and Earn is that Van’s reasoning for being distant makes PERFECT sense. Earn and Alfred are traveling, Earn IS hella busy, and Van IS staying out the way, not being a nuisance, and doing her own thing.


Earn’s reasoning makes sense as well. He’s now used to being the responsible one, the one who makes sure everything is ok. So it makes sense that he’d want to make sure his daughter’s mother is ok, ESPECIALLY while she’s in his orbit.

I can relate.

Dealing with people who don't or act like they don't have time for you, so you branch off and create your own lane of company.

Then comes the "Man, where you been?", "You acting funny?" remarks.

The other part of BLM they loosely hit on was how all that protesting and marching for police reform turned into a bunch of black people in corporate America getting raises and promotions and stopped there. I’ll never forget that shyt. The class divide in our community is just as bad as the one in the white community but just like them, we pretend we all in the same struggle when we are definitely not.
