Mels season 2 arc was clearly the best example of being rushed

This is sad, one of the best animated shows of the last 10 Years. This pretty much kills idea of more high budget animation coming to streaming platforms

Just now seeing this... that really sucks. But honestly, back of my mind it never felt like they had proper synergy or strategy for how they wanted to capitalize off this show. Jinx and Ekko were the most endearing if not popular characters but between season 1 and the years-long wait for season 2... what was done to cultivate those two?

All they did was tease them as featurettes in a fighting game (did that even launch yet???) when the Arcane show lent itself to a personalized branching story better suited for the RPG and action adventure/"movie" game demogrpahic. I'd bet most of those who loved the show aren't that big on fighters or MMOs. I know i'm not. So i was a bit underwhelmed and skeptical when i saw the first trailer for s2 bc it didn't feel like this was going anywhere.

Compare this to the Spider-Verse movies, which served as promotional material not just for the Sony games but a shyt ton of IP-related toys, merch, and halloween costumes.

At the end of the day, a show like this just ain’t gonna get more people into MOBA’s, i love the show and I ain’t playing LoL

convergence is good though, metroidvania starring Ekko. It was barely advertised last year though

Yea i never even heard of this.

If the strategic intent of the show was to siphon netflix subscribers to play a MOBA... that's 250 million dollars worth of not reading the room.
