This is a dope show
DravenAmbessa like a noblewoman too imagine the real noxian killers like Darius
Would have ran up on Pilotiver like prime Thanos
Probably noxus characters. Swain's raven was at the end. Leblanc and the Black Rose. Mel will probably return to go against Black Rose. Viktor will be seen again too.
I stole this post from another site, but seems this sums up stuff and talks about whats next.
League of Legends content creator Necrit interviewed Arcane co-creator Christian Linke, here's a resume of topics talked (thanks to /u/BaronLoyd on Reddit for compiling them) some of them are production tidbits, some are about future works and some are about the LEAGUE lore.
- Continuation after arcane is in works for while- next series is already in development for about a year +-
- He is specificlly mentioned ep 8 and ep 9 for future series teases - piano and raven/crow
- Noxus, Ionia and Demacia are getting shows and are next steps into this cinematic universe...they pick each setting to explore diff sides of Runterra
- Team set up the arcane s2 finale in ways that will impact Runeterra forward
- They view each season as rival to big things like GoT, so they aim always higher
- They considered Blitz for S2
- Hextech is not gone, but the core/annomaly is gone
- Heimer is not dead and others character might came back to life
- Arcane was not originaly canon when first planned, but they switch the plan after s1 feedback
- They always wanted to tell story about Vi, Jinx, Viktor, Jayce and setting of Zaun and Piltover
- There are indeed references for future characters set up in both S1 and S2
- Void is attracted to places with high amount of arcanum
- The raven is confirmed to be Raum
- Swain is teased to looking into arcane history and demon origins
- Timeline is not established yet for the show
- The piannist is teased to be Jhin
- Warwick went through a long process, but they wanted to show as much of Vander as possible
- Twitch was never teased
- Ziggs was not the inspiration for Isha
- Renatta will replace the Chem Barons in the future
- The arcane is their version of magic. Arcane does not originate of hextech. The arcane is one viewpoint interpretation of magic.. each region sees it differently
- Under the right circumstances arcane can be recreated- aka hextech
- Viktor will be explored on later shows confirmed- he is more than just human or arcane user now...he is something special
- Other champions from Zaun and Piltover will be brought up to Arcane timeline
- Urgot is coming later
- Zeri was never a consideration for arcane
- Viktor and Jayce are confirmed to be bromance- like very good friends who die for each other any given time
- Warwick is still split between human and wolf. One side will eventually win.
- House of Medarda will play part in future of Runeterra
- Glorious Evolution robots are inspired by biblical angels without wings
- MMO are heavily involved while they are making choices for tv show and vice-versa - all lore teams work together on choices. What we see is year in advance story planning. They arey trying their best to keep consistance, but also say straight forward that lore changes all the time.
I just took it as what they refer to magic as in this world, just like the real word means. Like the Hex tech was some kind of magic related to runes that they were learning to control.WTF does the name Arcane mean?
They still maintained good characters with interesting conflicts, and enough emotional cache that you were invested in what happened to them, to the point that even though the story this season was rushed (as it clearly was) it still worked and was damn good. They just had to not fukk up the final battle at the end. I wish they had the chance to really flesh out the story as originally intended, but this was still pretty damn good to be condensed the way it was. And I just took the hextec as just another mcguffin to move the story along. I don't even think they gave a good enough explanation of what it actually is.
Now that it's done I'm gonna rewatch the whole thing this week to see how much more fits together now that I know what to look for. Plus, like somebody else mentioned, it's just beautiful to look at.There's a conversation in episode 3 with Jayce, Ekko and Heimerdinger about the nature of runes vs wild runes. It's very short and like most of the series could have been expanded on to better use, but it's a solid foundation. Hextech is just a scientific bridge to access different kinds magic using the language of those magics: runes. Ambessa's right hand man uses a more basic form of it with the talismans on his spear. As it turns out, that access has consequences...whether via scientific access or from mages. In the context of the show's narrative they're just discovering what the consequences are, that power has it's costs.
So you're saying Ekko may yet PAWG againThere was a lot going on this season, and I'm still not sure I understand hextech/arcane but they stuck the landing for me. Just re watched the finale and I realized Jinx didn't die, in fact you can see her escape the fall/explosion at the last second.
