i've always had the lifeproof waterproof cases. the otterboxes don't have any type of water protection, but i guess that's cause the phone is waterproof... but is it reaaaaaaaaaaaaally?

I have a 7+ and was hit by Harvey hard. I had to get evacuated in an open air vehicle The rain was very intense and soaked my jeans. The phone was all good though.

This phone isn't waterproof. In fact the warranty doesn't protect against water damage.
Liquid damage to iPhone or iPod isn't covered by warranty
It's water resistant but other than using it in the rain I wouldn't press it.

no phone is water proof.. they actually cannot say "waterproof" about products, because that defines something that is physically fully immune to water.. which will never fukking happen



s8 also says resistant.. it also has a water damage tab... it is also void if damaged by water. don't ever let them word play you brehs... no phone or any tech item will ever say waterPROOF and allow you get a free one based on that... EVER.. and i'll make it real quick

ok so 1.5 meters and 30 mins right? so what if i go in the pool at 3 meters for 45 minutes? how can samsung know the difference? what if it's the tub for an hour with me? they would never know what was really a defective phone vs you just overdoing it.. and anytime someone wants a new phone, for free since its warranty, just hold your phone under water for a day and new $1000 phone.
