no. the port is still lightening, but you can buy a usb c adapter (think the part that plugs into the wall) along with a usb c lightning cable, to get fast charging. Ipad Pro uses these.

In order to make fast charging work, you need a USB-C power adapter — which doesn’t come in the box with the new iPhones. You’ll also need a USB-C to Lightning cable, which is a definite buzzkill. Unfortunately, it’s a necessity, as the commonly-used USB-A connector tops out at 10W of power. USB-C supports charging up to 100W, and the iPhone X fast-charging likely requires around 18W.

Phone looks dope but that bar at the top in the middle is an eyesore to me. They should ran that black bar straight across the top and rounded it like the S8. It would've looked nicer and less distracting imo. Especially when playing games or watching video.

Nah they should've made the backround color in the top corners permanently black in the software. It's OLED so the black would be the same color as that middle bar, this way they can still show information in the corners, but the bar would not be noticable.

real talk, although i like the phone, having followed the rumors since january of last year.

This is not the phone apple wanted to release this year. We wont see it for atleast another 2 years and by that point, Samsung will have probably beat them to the punch.

They wanted they notch behind the screen and settled for it being on it.

They wanted both face id and touch id (in screen) but couldnt get touch id to yeild at a desirable rate

They are working on true wireless charging

It will be interesting to see what the S9 brings.

I need to get rid of this 6 plus tho so the X is a hell of an upgrade for me.
