I don't care about how it looks when it's off because I always cop a black face. It doesn't always blend into the screen when you're actually using the phone. That's my problem. I think it's up to the app developer how to utilize that space.

Seems like it would have the easy fix of making that border area around it "software" to black at all times. My girl has the S8 and that thing is shaping up to look way sexier than this phone...i'd be shocked if they kept the 'brow for the next phone

between that and the face id i may upgrade to the current gen 7 and wait on next year's
