What about the strafe speed while ADSing? What if they slow that down instead of touching damage?

You can snipe with the r301... Let me ask you this.. If a gun is OP and everyone has access to it then who is gonna win the gun fight? Once they nerf the wingman then you really gonna see how strong the r301 is..
IMO the Wingman needs some minor tweaks. They don't need to make it useless because in general people are tanks in this game and when that gun you can wipe a squad with it if you're nice.
Maybe slow down ADS strafe speed, and have some damage drop off applied to long range shots.
It's arguably better than the DMRs at mid to long range

The r301 is better than most DMRS at range and the hemlock.. If you change the r301 to single fire it's the ultimate DMR and it has more range than the wingman.. If they nerf the wingman nobody gonna use it..IMO the Wingman needs some minor tweaks. When you have guys as big as Shroud saying the gun needs a nerf, best believe they're going to nerf it.
I'm not saying I agree, because dude is a Pro Level Gamer so he can make a lot of weapons look OP and the typical APEX player is not landing Wingman shots like Shroud or Dizzy, but their voices carry influence, we saw how shyt was with YT influencers with Destiny

I think the best thing going for wingman is the extended heavy clips gives you DOUBLE ammo..
Just think about this if the r301 gave you 36 shots
R99 gave you 36 shots, spitfire 70..Devotion 88... Nobody would complain then..
The wingman still has headshot damage multiple at 250m.. The r301 has that at 300m..
The wingman only wins if you hit headshots..
The guns are balanced..The clip size aint.

The nerf most people want is reduced clip size and slightly reduced fire rate from what I've read and heard people suggest.

It's not just shroud saying it. Everyone is saying it. I can't believe some are actually arguing that it isn't overpowered. It absolutely is. Maybe it's not as big of a problem on console but on PC even above average players using it can absolutely destroy you. yeah but the wingman is a pistol. if you're bringing in machine guns with epic attachments.. something has gone wrong.
look at the other pistols.. they don't even come close.
on pc, it's not that hard to fight with a wingman at range, jiggle peeking and hitting headshots. and you can fight against every other gun without feeling underpowered.
and if you have limited ammo.. a wingman with 30 bullets >>> almost every other gun with 30 bullets.
the problem with "git gud" weapons is that once players actually get good, it's overpowered.
