it's obvious jay is the brains behind the operation but pope's presence (authoritative) is needed, popes dominance with jay's "mind/thinking" make a good head to the family

I hear you but the two real reasons why i believe she wanted pope to die with her is 1. pope was her favorite 2. she really believed that without her being in his life that he would not be able to function...smurf wanting pope dead was more about HER than anything else, she couldn't grasp the idea that pope could function in the world without her which isnt true....pope may be the most dominant cody but he's also the mentally weakest cody....If jay had popes physical power with his mindset, he'd be unstoppable..

baz was a a$$hole but the nikka knew how to lead and keep pope in line....5 cody's woulda been a problem to be honest had baz lived he woulda dipped off outta the country with his shorty, baz had no loyalty to be honest, all he wanted was smurfs money and his woman he was never gonna stick around..breh didnt even care about his daughter
im still waiting to see wats good with ol baby girl, that one scene where pope went to greet her and she was acting funny..made me think she was being molested or something

That was a hell of a season premiere, this show is the most slept on crime drama on TV.
Now this is how you start off a season, action packed right out the gate. Pope made a big mistake letting his cousin go but I do understand why he did it even if I don't agree with it. his cousin could have more family and could come back even stronger, Smurf was right in how she did things by not leaving any loose ends...pope might pay for that later....
That cop that was on the take shows just how much pull Smurf had in oceanside while she was alive, the cop his deran wit the"woulda never happened if smurf was here, tighten up"

i hope next episode we get to see the black lady that ran with smurf, glad they got some black folk on the show, bout time
