In terms of what? Story? Action?

Both. Season 1 felt like a SyFy show with a bigger budget but season 2 feels like its coming into it's own thing.

Mackie is wack. Cant watch.

He's doing alright but as of episode 5, it's starting to feel like Luke Cage again. Main character isn't bad but he's outshined by everyone around him. Got glaringly obvious once a certain someone showed up

Like, he's big enough a name to give him a lot of scenes to carry instead of the writing but dude is just not a good actor so I know it's gonna be a shyt ton of screen time of him that I won't enjoy. It's a pass for me. It was interested when I heard the new season was dropping but as soon as I saw who they casted as the lead...

This was good. Nothing groundbreaking, but a hell of an improvement over season 1.

Lowkey, I don't want to hear anyone complain about the lack of Black sci-fi then skip or nitpick the fukk out of this.

At one point I was like when they were taking the mining tunnels to the Stronghold. We got three legit Black characters carrying the story on a major show-- sci-fi at that. No drugs, hood shyt, civil rights. Just pure entertainment with a dope story.

Mackie is getting carried just as much as old boy on season 1 got carried by everyone else, which is a lot. Takeshi himself as a character is just meh brehs the side characters carry this story I'm starting to notice that. Still good though.

You think he’s struggling? I can’t say I agree. It’s not an Emmy winning performance but I don’t see what’s so bad. I’ll be frank— I just don’t think people are used to having a black man in a role like this. People keep acting like Kinnaman did something special. He was just tall, blonde, and white.

Yep he's acting the way Takeshi Kovacs is supposed to be played all business, angry, humorless...
But I give him credit he's in great shape and it looks like he trained for the role too... he's taking it seriously.
