This is on Jon Scheyer, Sion James and Tyrese Proctor. I'm done. I've watched a lot of losses. 2004, 2011, 2018. 2019 and 2022. Those teams were good but flawed. This team was not flawed. There is no excuse for this loss. I'm absolutely done and I do not fukking care what happens Monday
When you have a point guard that shoots 50% from the free throw line, I’d say that’s a team with a flaw :patrice:

Only Australian that can shoot is Patty Mills

We tend to forget these kids are not finished products

My comp for Flagg is Kawhi. Kawhi averaged 12 a game and shot 20% from 3 as a freshman. He’s now a career 39% and automatic middy

Flagg’s shooting splits 48/37/83 are that of a future 3pt specialist. He’s got that on a 6’9 powerful athlete frame. He’s gonna be just fine
That's my comp too. I think he's special and his potential is through the roof. He just has to keep grinding. But the whole better offensive player than Melo as a freshman is just foolish. Melo offensive polish was utterly ridiculous even as a freshman. Flagg got more overall upside and I think his upside as a playmaker is superior. Scoring wise, Flagg game is far more advanced as a transition player than in the half court.

You Can’t just enter numbers and project like that though…That’s how you get narratives like Reed Sheppard and Jabari Smith were great prospects when they weren’t ..Not comparing them to Cooper because he’s far far far better than those two. Just saying .

Also Kawhi is a trap..Along with Paul George . They take every big wing that theoretically fits that archetype and compare them to those two…When Kahwi and Paul George are freaks and outliers of the highest magnitude both development wise and in game

Cooper is a great prospect but they need to slow down with that generational stuff ..That’s LeBron,Wemby and Luka …he is not on that tier which is fine

Cooper can’t be generational when ppl are already saying Peterson and Dybantsa would’ve been fighting to go #1 if they were in this years draft….are they ALL generational??
Cooper is definitely generational. Moreso than Peterson or AJ. Those are Kobe and T-Mac prototypes so of course nikkas gotta bow to nikkas they enjoy watching but any nikka who really knows ball knows Cooper is one of them ones.

I feel that if the NBA was willing to work out with the NCAA, they should set a rule that if a player doesn't decide to forego college or play overseas and come in as a higher schooler, they should stay at least two years. To help with their development and build the college game in return. The lack of development for our American players has been a big talking point lately, and I think that is tied to the fall of the college game. Having this two-year rule will help it out IMO.

Like it would be awesome to see Flagg returning to duke with the vengeance while working on his game with the Boozer twins.

There's very little Kawhi in Flagg's game. I don't know where the hell that comparison is coming from.
Impact. Tremendous defenders, heady rebounders although Kawhi is superior to Cooper, both players use physicality to score and both are very athletic with an excellent frame. It's the easiest comp even if it's not 1v1. Kawhi looks like a robotic Jordan on 1v1 and Cooper looks like Jalen Johnson with a legit shooting touch 1v1. Cooper just doesn't have many clean comps. So people go to impact comps instead. Cooper plays like Cooper.
