Bron is never playing for Team USA again. He gave us 5 summers which I think only Melo has done more
*3. LeBron has played in three Olympics (2004, 2008, and 2012). Melo has made four Olympic appearances (2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016).

100% agree but it is what it is

I do think Tatum is willing to help carry the torch tho, he already went twice and has said he’s playing in 2024
Twice? Jayson Tatum has only played in one Olympics (2020).

We shouldn’t have to ask Bron/KD to hoop again. This is on the next era with Zion/Ja/Tatum/Book/Ant and etc.
The only "older" player that should be on the 2024 USA Men's Olympic Basketball team is Steph Curry.

Curry has yet to play in an Olympics, and he says he wants to be at the Olympics next year. An Olympic Gold Medal is the only major achievement that Curry doesn't have.

Bron played in the FIBA Cup in 2006 and FIBA Americas in 2007, same with Melo

Tatum played in the 2019 FIBA Cup

Its not a matter of having to ask. KD has helped the program win 3 gold medals, if he wants to play next year the door should absolutely be open. Of the young guys, Fox is one I think they really need, along with Booker, Ant, Tatum, Bam.

USA fakkit small ball coming home to roost

NBA players got way too comfortable for the rules diminishing the influence of the big man and to be so much in favor of wings and guards
When you get to the World stage with FIBA/Olympics you start to see how much other teams can take advantage with Size against the US. They just straight abused NBA small ball play by pounding in the paint, crisp paint passing, high elbow jump shots, etc

The US coaches have some blame as well. Making Walker Kessler a bench warmer, JJJ only being used as a screen setter and roll man, etc. Even when they were down big, they still stayed with small ball. NBA's neglect for the Paint is coming back to haunt them

especially with Kerr as a coach, it would be great to see Steph play. if they focused using him off ball he will crush. his kids are young enough to just make it a family vacation to Paris too, Brons sons prob have to stay back with summer activities, so it’s harder for him to swing these days
