Jets look like shyt
Not really. Get in playoffs and anyone has chance to win. Cincy had no business in superbowl last year. The way Holmes is drafting the draft spot doesn’t even matterThat's a pretty conflicted game. Rams win and the Lions playoff odds go up and the draft pick gets worse. Rams lost and the draft pick gets better but the playoffs chances are toast.
I was right for once.I still think they should have a developmental QB at a minimum. They have enough talent to be competitive every week and finish in the 7-10 win range.
The Lions aren't beating whoever comes out of the AFC. They are frisky enough to give elite NFC teams a scare but just a scare. Not really. Get in playoffs and anyone has chance to win. Cincy had no business in superbowl last year. The way Holmes is drafting the draft spot doesn’t even matter
Imagine of Holmes had a genius head coach.Whether we get in or not this team and coaching staff deserves a lot of credit for turning things around. This is the type of win and production jump you'd expect from a new regime that's doing it right. The only recent-ish comparison we have would be Jim Schwartz's first two seasons, where we went from 2 to 6 wins, followed by 10 wins (and a wildcard) in year three. Things fell apart after that. Caldwell had 11 wins followed by regressing down to 7 the next year, and then 9 in year three. I think the major difference this time is the draft. Go back and look at the first couple Meyhew/Caldwell drafts, Out of the 2014 and 2015 drafts we got one consistent starter (Quandre Diggs). Two if you count Ebron. Go back even farther to the Mayhew/Schwartz years and you get a bit more success in the first two drafts: Stafford, Pettigrew, Delmas, Levy, Suh. Years of not having depth due to bad drafts, which made it impossible for the team to really sustain success.
This, compared to what Holmes has done in two years. It's like night and day. I'm counting 10-11 important contributors from the last two drafts.
