Murray is literally everything we all hoped Cam would turnout to be (talented 3-level scorer and high-end perimeter defender), but Murray is even better than that as he see's the floor just as well as Trae, can rebound, AND got that junkyard dawg mentality we haven't had since DeMarre Carroll was here.

We all know Trae is a beast, an offensive machine, and on his best days an easy top 6-10 player in this league that can put a team on his back and carry them all the way to the Conference Finals, but we also all knew that for the Hawks to actually get to the promised land, it would have to be one of the wings (at the time either Cam or Dre) making that leap to be that two-way Star the Hawks need and takeover the reigns as the Alpha. Neither Dre or Cam turned out to be that, but Murray is him, with a ceiling higher than any of us probably ever imagined Cam or Dre having. That game in NY set the stage for this to happen, the way Murray played defensively raised the bar for the entire team to lock in defensively. As great as Trae is and with as much heart he got, he is limited in that capacity.

Yea I think the biggest DJM will have is motivating them nikkas to get better at defense.

This is a game we would've gotten blown last year. Outside of a braindead 4 minute stretch in the 4th, we handled business.

Murray was off, but his impact was felt. Trae played a good game but took 1 too many daggers late.

Game ball to capela and Jalen showed me something tonight. Idk what Jalen is going to become but he is very talented.

Can't wait for Bogi to take Justin Holliday's minutes.
