they didn't bleep out *shyt* But they bleep out *nikka* and *fukk*

It goes unnoticed, but it's been the norm for years now. Even on their TV Shows and some movies, that word is left in while others are edited out.

For y'all that are watching with DVR, PLEASE rewind it back to when Taraji was talking about the McDonald's Positively Golden stuff, right before she introduces the DJ Khaled and Friends performance. Look at the far right corner and see some people scuffling, it looks like two chicks and a stud getting into it :laff::laff::laff::laff:
Looks like some kids playing a prank but still funny

Remember when the bigger black stars would come out for this? Will Smith, Steve Harvey, Jay & Beyoncé?

Nobody with any sort of prestige wants to be seen there any more
lol, jay & bey would show when they were winning, after Beyonce's first album and DC's final album, she was hit or miss at the BET awards until it made sense to promote herself in a black space

and between the pandemic recently "ending", and this show not having a lot of moments that would bring older stars out - did they even have a gospel segment? and usually, there's a few more legacy acts + the tribute - no reason for them to come.

this is more a testament to a long-standing issue i bring up in various threads from time to time, we don't have the black culture epicenters we had in the late 80's-early 00's. we celebrated black authors, knew the black journalists, had black comedians, black tv and movie stars, and of course music, these were more packed. but between everything being so integrated, us only having crossover stars (many of them on that weird new black shyt) or SM/reality stars and the musicians from the 60's-80's being elderly at this point, we're left with the 20-40 yr old stars and all the low-brow, ratchetness of this generation

I'm confused. During the Migos performance, they didn't bleep out *shyt* But they bleep out *nikka* and *fukk*?

Granted I haven't watched BET in a decade but that was weird to me.
They say shyt on tv now
