I thought that too. But the numbers say otherwise.

If you take out 25% of 322 million for people under 18.

44 million out of 241 million is 20% of people. That’s not a lot of ppl :yeshrug:

Anything else that would be at 20% would be a no go :francis:

I’m starting to think that due to my age (millennial) and knowing tons of ppl with student debt with no degrees, other generations were like that as well. But the numbers emphatically say that’s not the case :patrice:

I just don’t think it’s as popular as millennial ppl think it is:manny:
Bro, the entire idea of governing is crafting policies that work towards the needs of different constituencies. How many people have family directed effected by the farm bills? What percentage of people in the US are undocumented? How many people work in coal mines? How many have jobs reliant on the auto industry?

I think student loan debt is important but the system behind why the debt exist is the real issue . Schools.. public schools as well as private need to be regulated, schools are charging too much we need to have a average price for 2 year 4 year etc like many countries in Europe do regardless of the university you're attending. Another thing free tuition is nice and all but how the fukk is all these things supposed to get voted on and paid for

Debt relief
Free education
Free universal health care

:mjtf: who the fukk voting for all this shyt let's be realistic here, and how the hell is the United states supposed to be able to afford all that?
Do you know why people in here are annoyed by you? Because Sanders and Warren have highly detailed plans that state exactly how they will pay for everything. You can’t jump into shyt in the middle and start acting like you’re asking some brand new pragmatic questions when this shyt was answered months ago. There is a student debt cancellation bill in Congress sponsored by Sanders. Read it. There is a Medicare for all bill - read it. You’re asking how to pay for all this like it doesn’t cost less than the 1.5 trillion dollar tax cut we just gave billionaires.

Even if it's just 20%, that's 20% of people who instead of paying debt can put pump that money into the economy, so it's still good policy.

I think it’s a good policy. I just don’t think it’ll be as popular as some ppl think it will be.

All Executive actions. Which this one most likely will be too.

I don’t think that’s a fair comparison tho.

Farm bill $3.6 billion
Trump gave coal mines $3 billion
Auto industry got $80 billion (we got back 70 billion but for argument sake I’ll add it)

Collectively that’s a lil under $100 billion.

That’s not even a tenth of federal student loan forgiveness.

Which is $1.6 trillion

Apples and oranges breh :manny:

Wait are you serious?
You're really asking who would want debt relief and free education???

Who wouldn't:dwillhuh:??
Tax the ultra rich, force mega corporations to pay taxes just like everyone else and reduce the multibillion dollar defense spending...the money is there!

First of all no ones "annoyed" with me

Second of all yes permanently eliminating tax cuts can help relieve some of the cost for all of those initiatives, unlike you however I am a realist and don't see any way possible to pass the below in the House and Senate.

Higher tax code for rich
Universal health care
Relief of student loan debt
Free college tuition

I see zero way this being possible during the current climate of politics.
