You said all that but failed to mention the media and the expectations of the fanbase of the larger markets...

Look at what Bron is going through now in LA...

Do you really think players want to experience the attacks from those media markets on top of the "delusional" fans?

Its 2020 and endorsements in terms of the market you play in - really means nothing.

Honestly - you have a greater chance of damaging your brand - the larger your market.

Bron going to LA didn't do shyt for him media wise though, he's been under that scrutiny from the second he hit the NBA.

But yes, you're correct, dealing with the media scrutiny is certainly a strike against larger markets - NY in particular, when dealing with these a$$holes that work to bring athletes down. Some guys embrace it, some don't - cool. That has nothing to do with this argument that players shouldn't go to New York because they've sucked for 20 years, though. People don't say they dont go to NY because of the media, they say the Knicks suck, Dolan, trash, city sucks, it's overrated, etc. That's what people tend to cling to and I think it's a bullshyt argument that's primarily rooted in many non-New Yorkers not liking New York and/or New Yorkers in general. I won't go as far as to talk that "hater" bullshyt, but it's pretty damn close :yeshrug:

I keep reading people talking about NO hate on here and it's :russ:

No one gives a fukk about NO.

It's about a very obvious agenda by the league to push these small market trash basketball city teams by gifting them superstars and picks.

2 trash ass, middle of the pack markets get gifted the top 2 picks - 2 of the biggest markets that have legitimately been trash get the next 2, and the IMMEDIATE words out of the announcers mouth is "gosh golly, look at how exciting this new draft format is, it really shows how the new formula doesn't work for tanking teams!" with damn near a wink to the camera.

NO has had 2 other chances with big stars and didn't do shyt with it. Memphis won't do shyt. With Bron on his way out the league, having 2 of your largest markets with 2 of the best players in this draft could lead you into 2020, but they're so fixated on making another LeBron in Cleveland/Giannis situation and helping small markets to create "parity" instead.

Zion won't do shyt in NO but try to get out after his contract and waste prime years. But yeah, people just LOVE to hate on NOLA. :mjlol:
