People are saying JJ Redikk would be a good fit in Philly but that's a dumb signing to me.

It feels like they have a younger version of JJ in Staukus if they can just be patient and develop him.

No point in paying a 33 year old JJ Redikk 20 million plus a year on the downside of his career.

To me the decision isn't that tough. Lowry is 31 and a known underachiever, no need in giving him close to a max 4-5 year contract. Toronto as currently constructed is fool's gold, let him walk, milk the playoff money as long as you can then blow it up. They should be leaning towards a complete overhaul.

At this point the Raptors have no choice but to resign Lowry and Ibaka.....and try to get them at less than their full maxes.

It's fools gold but I think you have to sign these guys with the feeling that you can trade these guys down the line and blow it up a year or 2 from now. This is the best the raptors have been in their franchise history and that counts for something. Losing them for absolutely nothing would be terrible.
