Would be a good pickup for the Cavs (and have made getting Caldron even more pointless), but i can't see Rose only taking roughly $2.3 mil from the Cavs when there has to be teams willing to give more.

What gives you that impression :usure:

The well has run dry...everybody that's left is looking at scraps

Ending the season with a meniscus tear cost Rose millions, unfortunately. He had a decent season with the Knicks considering the circumstances. If my memory serves me correctly, he finished the game in which he tore his meniscus and had like 29 points. He tore his meniscus back in 2014, and came back for the playoffs. It's not that serious an injury. It just looks bad to say the injury ended his season, even though there were only like 5 games left, and the Knicks were long out of the playoff race.

If there was another team that was willing to give more, he would be signed right now and not looking to be a backup PG on the Cavs.

Gilbert is basically tanking at this point

It would only have to be for one year since he has a player option. He can freely link up with any of his banana boat next season. Why not play with Lillard/McColloum/Nurkic and have a legit shot at being in the playoffs vs stuck being stuck with a lottery team.

Melo was being polite and they took it as he's "intrigued". McCollum always on social media begging some star player to come to Portland, sorry breh but nobody wants to play there.

I'm starting my fourth decade of Blazer fandom, watching my fourth core of stars that gonna come up short. Carmelo to the Blazers don't sound like much of a game-changer until they follow it with the deal no one talking about.

Carmelo for Leonard-Aminu-Davis and a 1st-rounder.

Lebron and JR for McCollum-Turner.

Sign Rose to a one-year deal.

Lillard - Rose - Napier
JR - Crabb - Connaughton
Lebron - Harkless
Carmelo - Vonleh - Swanigan
Nurkic - Collins

Greatest one-year rental team in history. :noah:

Knicks get some young bodies.

Cleveland gets younger and doesn't lose Lebron for nothing.

Make it happen Microsoft Man!

Get out your feelings, what do the Heat have to do with this? We all know if the two choices are Miami and Portland what city the player is going to choose, ask Whiteside.
