The guy is a potential two-way stud. Hes a great athlete, he moves with tenacity on defense. Hes constantly hounding the opposites team best player, and dude can shoot the 3 ball too.

I dont see whats not to like?

The stat box cant explain that a great majority of His value also comes on the defensive side.

He's a good/great on the ball defender, but 18M tho? He's not offensively lethal enough to be called a 2-way player. Besides, his J is inconsistent as hell. And he's like 24, so odds are he's not getting any better. Anyone in the defending wing 12-15ppg, with the occasional 3 is not worth 20M.

Spurs has disappointed me this offseason

Not a fan of them keeping Lap*ssy Softridge or Danny Green or Kyle Anderson but if Kawhi stays healthy he is going to drag them to the WCF again and if everyone just doesn't have their worst playoff performances ever it will be a toss up between them and GS...

People don't seem to realize that during the playoffs, every single player on the spurs team not named Kawhi Leonard or Tony Parker either had their worst playoff ever...second worst playoff ever...or had never played in the playoffs before...

Unlike all these other teams who have all these one way "stars" who are complete trash on one end of the floor...the spurs have a guy who at times can be the best guy on both ends of the floor...

There are like 3 guys in the nba who can just about solo your team...and kawhi is one of them...

West is getting too deep for that. If the Wolves figure it out then they are going to have too much talent for Kawhi to do on his own. The jury is still out on some other teams like Houston and New Orleans right now so they could have them beat but the Spurs season is probably going to be dependent on if LMA can go back to Blazers LMA

Buford gonna let Simmons walk to bring back Diaw :francis:

I thought Diaw was a great fit for the Spurs? I guess you feel he isn't as good as Simmons? I don't know much about the Spurs bench all I know is Diaw gave my Rockets fits when the second units were playing each other.
