That should tell yall that #LWO really run this Coli shyt. If Russell was on any other squad, you wouldn't hear about him. nikkas barely mentioning Towns, Okafor, etc etc in here because they aint Lakers.

Do you know how many players have fried Summer League that are very clearly mediocre players? Rice, Otto Porter Jr (who coincidentally enough will be starting ahead of Oubre), Tony Snell, Tim Hardaway Jr just recently. That's what I meant. I referenced Rice specifically because he, like Oubre, was on the Wizards.

Oubre's handle is trash, his court vision and passing is trash, he's frail as hell. He's largely incapable of creating his own shot or driving to the hole because of his awful handle and lack off an off-hand. Dude statistically was the worst player in all of CBB at getting to the FT line, indicating that he's soft. Dude was a top recruit and was coming off the bench for some time at KU.

He's good at 2 things. He can shoot--kind of. His shot is streaky but it's there. And his length and athleticism give him the potential to be a good defender, although his defensive IQ as a whole still needs work. In a BEST CASE SCENARIO he's a poor man's Trevor Ariza.

Rice and them were way older than Oubre who is 19 not to mention they had pro experience. They should've lit up summer league. Oubre has no right hand but his handle has clearly improved as the wizards have even had him running point occasionally in summer league. He came off the bench for like 9 games. He started the other 20 plus games and averaged around 11/6 in that time. He was one of the best iso defenders in college ball..and he won't even need to create that much. He plays with John Wall.

Otto Porter wasnt a mediocre player the last month of the regular season into the postseason though

He played real solid down the stretch, even hit a few clutch shots in Round 1 and in Game 1 vs. ATL

Oubre's handles aren't as bad as I thought, he does kind of know how to create his own shot but it still needs work. He has no right hand.

And during summer league it looks like he's been trying to get to the line, I think the coaches have drilled that into him

He's gonna be red shirted this year... and go up against the vet wings on the roster in practice.

He was bad at KU cuz he was bball illiterate. He has got by on his size and athleticism his entire career. Self couldn't play him because he didn't understand bball concepts and the defense :ld:

He can be frail it doesn't matter. Paul George isn't huge, Kyrie isn't, Brandon knight, conley etc. :francis:
