The reports before the draft seemed pretty clear that Mitch wanted Okafor while Jim Buss and his boys wanted Russell. If they're gonna make this work, Clarkson should be the primary ball handler. He was playing with nothing around him the last few months of the season and still putting up numbers and holding his own against the best PGs in the league. That would allow Russell to spot up more for that jumper we're still waiting to see and allow him to make quick decisions with the ball instead of facilitating the offense.

Before @#1 pick comes after me for saying this, I could see Towns having a career like Al Horford. Jack of all trades, master of none who has a really good career, but never a franchise centerpiece.
Horford does a lot of things on an elite level. Just because people love looking at rebounding, points, etc doesn't make him less elite in his own right. There is a reason we go from 38 to 60 wins.

To the poster who said Towns' floor is Horford. @tremonthustler1 ya'll about to win 50-60 games and Towns is a legit all star, no doubt because if he's that good right now, that what he will do. I hope Towns could come in and give you Horford's rookie stats. With that being said, Towns can be a better player than Horford. Towns to me can be a top 3-5 NBA player. It wouldn't surprise me if he was the best player in the NBA in 5 years.

This nicca TJ Warren gonna get a summer league plaq. Dude has like 20 points in every SL game including last year it seems like. Getting zero minutes outside of SL

Seems as if he could score 20 in his sleep.

Unique player.Don't think he'll be a franchise player or anything, but his game is quirky as fukk compared to his contemporaries.

Reminds me of a mix between Cedric Ceballos & Reggie Lewis(RIP)

Aaron Craft is out here embarrassing himself. :blessed:
Seth Green was going on and on and on about how great he was. It was totally befuddling. He should stop wasting his, and everbody else's, time and go to medical school. He has no shot at making it.

I never understood that. He's good enough to run point ahead of Bledsoe in my opinion, who I think is just terrible.

What is Horford doing on an elite level? He's a really good player and clearly the glue to what Atlanta does, but he isn't carrying a team anywhere. He was basically invisible as the Hawks were getting swept by the Cavs and only score 20+ in the playoffs TWICE.

Off ball movement
PnR defense
PnR offense
spot up jumper
PnP jumper
speed for his position
BBIQ
Feel for the game
help defense
versatility

He wasn't invisible v. the Cavs. He actually produced.

So were you agreeing with me? (I'm the person who said Horford is Towns' floor)

I said that with the utmost respect to Horford. He is a great player with many intangibles that effect the plus/minus.

booker :scust:

he might have those things if he wasn't forced into playing center and built his body around that instead of his natural position :francis:
Don't get me wrong Horford is a great player, but homie really listed "feel for the game" as something he's elite at. :heh:
