Horford does a lot of things on an elite level. Just because people love looking at rebounding, points, etc doesn't make him less elite in his own right. There is a reason we go from 38 to 60 wins. The reports before the draft seemed pretty clear that Mitch wanted Okafor while Jim Buss and his boys wanted Russell. If they're gonna make this work, Clarkson should be the primary ball handler. He was playing with nothing around him the last few months of the season and still putting up numbers and holding his own against the best PGs in the league. That would allow Russell to spot up more for that jumper we're still waiting to see and allow him to make quick decisions with the ball instead of facilitating the offense.
Before @#1 pick comes after me for saying this, I could see Towns having a career like Al Horford. Jack of all trades, master of none who has a really good career, but never a franchise centerpiece.
To the poster who said Towns' floor is Horford. @tremonthustler1 ya'll about to win 50-60 games and Towns is a legit all star, no doubt because if he's that good right now, that what he will do. I hope Towns could come in and give you Horford's rookie stats. With that being said, Towns can be a better player than Horford. Towns to me can be a top 3-5 NBA player. It wouldn't surprise me if he was the best player in the NBA in 5 years.
