Don't be a pedantic a$$hole. If he just discovered Tame Impala he might like Pond too.
I wasnt trying to be an a$$hole, just factual

and the below is just incorrect altogether:

Pond is Kevin Parker's other project

I love Pond, and I could certainly see similarities to Lonerism & Innerspeaker, but not Currents in the least bit

If I was going, I'd try to see

The Weeknd
Alabama Shakes
Tame Impala
Hot Chip
Father John Misty
FKA twigs
Twin Peaks
Travis Scott
Toro y Moi
Thugger

Rest of the lineup doesn't really do much for me :yeshrug:

Friday should be nice. It sets up where I can do Hot Chip, Father John Mistry, Alabama Shakes and then close with Paul McCartney all in a row.

Saturday Tame Impala is obviously my main event. Its gonna be the first time they are playing live since Currents dropped, should be interesting.

Ill start Saturday with Beat Connection, then Im debating who to see between Toro y Moi & Hermitude before Tame. Proabbly hit up Kid Cudi after Tame, and then skip the trash headliners (Metallica & Sam Smith)

Sunday Im not sure. Im thinking this for now: Twin Peaks, George Erza(nobody else is playing then), Odesza, TV on the Radio and then close with Florence & Machine.

I dont love the lineup either, but I think what I just posted is a nice setup.

Im a lil nervous on the Tame Impala show. Ive hyped them forever to a group of friends that Im going with, and Im not sure how Currents will translate as a live show..... thoughts?

I've heard nothing but good things for this current tour they're on. One of my friends went to one of their shows about a month ago and said it was great

I saw them in May and they only player Let it Happen, Eventually & Cause Im a Man from Currents

I figured this time around they would just play the album out in full

OK, after taking a lot of time to digest Currents, I gotta say that Kevin Parker has dropped another classic album. AOTY contender right now. The best musician alive at the moment, but I hesitate to call Tame Impala the best band since it really aint a band.

All his best traits as a musician are present on this album. His knack for making verses themselves as catchy as hooks. Consistently the best sounding drums in indie rock. Lots of depth and very busy production but never thrown together haphazardly or overproduced. The ability to turn phaser effects into a euphoric sonic experience.

What is blowing me away and making me sad at the same time is the mixing on this album. I say blowing me away because his music has never been mixed this good. I say making me sad because it makes me wonder if Lonerism could have been the greatest album of all time had it been mixed this well.

Gotta be honest, I'm not feeling Yes I'm Changing all that much but based on The Coli response to the song it maybe still have room to click for me. Same thing with Love Paranoia. I was not big on ANY of these songs when he released them as singles, I needed the full album to "get" them. I never thought that I'd be singing "Cause I'm a maaaaaaaannnn, wooomaaaaaaannn"......I didn't like the single at all but now I love it. Crazy.

Honestly I didn't like Tame Impala's first two releases much, they felt like a chore to listen to. Then I read your praise for it and thought "here comes another chore of an album, fukk". But Currents.... :wow::wow::wow::wow::wow:

Just about everything you said, I agree with.

2015 Lineup

@Adam3000 @penfield @Zeu$ @Air Nikes N Hats @We Major @Yoda

who should i check out?

If I was going I'd be seeing:

The Weeknd
Alabama Shakes
Tame Impala
Gary Clark Jr.
Hot Chip
Django Django

I saw Alabama Shakes, Hot Chip and Django Django at Glastonbury last month and they all smashed it. The lead singer of Alabama Shakes' voice is just incredible. Hot Chip killed it on the Friday night and Django Django were dope.

This was a moment :wow:
