Arctic Monkeys won Best Album at the BRIT awards

for all of yall that left them off your best of list last year

Man, I have been a pretty big Arctic Monkeys fan since there first album("Whatever people say I am, that's what I am not" is one of my all time favourite records). Then kinda faded as a fan more and more with each album after.

But good lawd, I slept on this AM Album. Finally really started to listen to it this week. Incredible album, freaking love it. Might be my favourite record from last year. I am kinda shocked at how good it is.

Cloud Nothings leaked. Downloading now.

I have had zero desire to check out that The Men album. Anyone listen yet? I will wait for some reviews and if they come in good enough I may take the time. Don't feel like wasting an hour of my life though like I did with their last schizophrenic mess.

logged in for the first time in forever just to say how wrong you are about The Men. New moon was a great album. Loads better than that pile of shyt Flaming Lips album you are so nuts about (and i'm a big Flaming Lips fan)

SMH at 'wrong' :stopitslime:. We all state our opinions as fact, but flat out telling someone else they are wrong crosses the line into the realm of superiority complex. Furthermore, I'm curious as to why you singled out The Terror to compare it to???? Not sure of the point. I'm sure there a ton of albums I like that you hate, and a ton of albums you like that I hate. And I'm sure there are a ton of albums we agree on. Seems like a silly thing to throw out there.

We all look for different things. I lean towards albums with a cohesive theme and mood that you can transport yourself into. Pretty much describes The Terror, and pretty much the antithesis of New Moon.

You were bothered by my talking crap about The Men, but at least I respect them enough to mention them which is more than I can say for 90% of music. A band with high potential that I don't think can focus. They fall into the same problem territory that The Walkmen do for me. Great musicians still looking for their voice.
