Its worth checking out, just doesn't work for me because I don't think the songwriting is good enough. Very few memorable melodies, comes off as more annoying than entertaining for me. But if someone said they liked it I wouldn't be surprised.

I mentioned a little bit ago in the thread that I was lukewarm on the first singles. Throwing that out the window and starting fresh now that they are in the context of the full album. Liking what I am hearing so far, first impressions coming after completing a full listen

Finished first listen of the St. Vincent album. Definitely one of the more creative and intelligent pop albums released in recent memory. Also has enough weirdness to make me want to revisit immediately. Probably will take 3-4 solid listens to digest, but one thing for sure is its a damn good album.

Yeah, I dont like the Phantogram really at all but St. Vincent is the years first great album

That Wild Beasts is decent enough music but doesn't do anything for me

Finally got around to the Angel Olsen and it a damn good album
Also, pitchfork just gave a best new track tag onto this song, I never heard of the band but I really like this song so I am going back and checking out their self titled debut from 2012. Their sound definitely appeals to me, putting them high up on my anticipation list for a new album this year now. FYI this is more toned down than most of their work apparently, they are supposedly put on a high energy, loud, complex live show
