A Folk/Punk rock band I've been getting into from Australia - The Smith Street Band. Their new album came out last friday, worth a listen. Still so behind though a few albums - mainly Arca and JMSN

Still backed up in my listening queue, but some recent ones that are noteworthy:
Ariel Pink - Pom Pom.....some amazing songs on here. Top to bottom the best stuff I have heard from him. Only a few duds out of 17 tracks.
Alvvays -- Alvvays....nice retro dream pop album. Archie Marry Me is one of the best songs of the year, everything else is pretty strong
Grouper -- Ruins....beautiful music, on par with her other ones and possibly better
Run the Jewels 2....still not sure if I like it better than #1, but its dope either way
Pharmakon -- Bestial Burden....about as accessible as the 'noise' genre is gonna get
Flying Lotus -- You're Dead....a bit bloated in my opinion, but pretty damn nice
Arca -- Xen....very original, but damn throw a few beats in there man, all them off kilter instrumentals can't carry an album from start to finish. Contains about the best 1 second of music this year when a half a bar of drums drop on the first track
