For me, I’ll add just seeing a cinematographer like Deakins handle a Bond film. That Macau scene you mentioned as well as the one take fight scene in the Shanghai tower helps give the flick an artistic polish. :banderas:

The bolded hurts, but hurts a little less when I look at Spectre as a film overall. Glad RH weren’t attached to that. Track still kicks ass as a standalone.
Radiohead track for Spectre??? :ohhh:

They fukked the whole movie up and ruined the "impossible white man trope". That's what made Casino Royale so good. See in that movie they played around with him dying, but never actually let him die.

He was supposed to walk away at the end. That's what the fans always wanted. That's why mfers watched all the damn movies - so Bond gets his "happy ending".

These coked out writers tried to "reinvent the wheel" and fukked themselves. Mfers spent all this time tryna chase Casino Royale only to run away from it and shyt on all their work in the process.

He could've just been "retired", hell they bring on some other CAC he gets his 10-20 years in and they bring Craig back for a cameo as an old ass man.

Shyt was lazy as fukk, from the contrived plot, big ass plot holes, and thrown together villian that literally makes zero sense.

They def used chatgpt to make this shyt.

And they tried to replace him with that African chick and couldn't even stand on their decision and made her give back the "007" halfway through the damn movie :mjlol:

Weak as HELL :unimpressed:

Damn I gotta watch Casino Royale to scrub my eyes from this bullshyt again :scust:

If they had kept the same formula of Bond fukking bad hoes, driving fast cars, and killing bad guys the series would've been in a completely different place.

Every movie they tried to reinvent the damn wheel and make each one worse than the other.

You forget they always come back with a new Bond when the actor gets old. The old one just dissappears in the same fking movie they started him out with in the beginning.

I know that. I'm saying that they wrote themselves into a brick wall and his death was basically a slap in the face to all the fans. A cheap way to try and score some "emotional" brownie points.

They could've just written Bond off into the sunset with the happy ending. Keeping their options open by leaving on a good note.

Instead they literally killed him off in a contrived way for a reason that literally only appears in the last 5-10 mins of the movie. And by a poorly written villain played by an actor too young to even be convincing in the timeline.

If Javier Bardem couldn't kill Bond, how tf am I supposed to believe the gay dude who played Freddie Mercury with a horrible Russian accent was :mjlol:

This is pretty much where I am. They fukked up by straying too far from Casino Royale. Bond was young and growing into the role. He was still Bond but rough around the edges. You had M there to be his mother and make sure he matured into the man/agent we all know him to be.

But for some reason each time they made a film it was super different. I get that times change and that audiences can change on a dime. I also note that other spy films like Mission Impossible and the Bourne movies came out too, but Bond is Bond.

Another thing that gets me, and I know someone will twist this, but as things went on, Bond became less and less important in his own shyt. By the end of the Craig run it was basically Charlie's Angels feat. James Bond. Lynch, Frenchie and the girl with the eyes were all doing their own thing and could have just saved the day. They even had sexy eyes just......leave. Like, wtf? Skyfall was the last great Craig Bond and that was the halfway point. And even in that one they were trying to put Bond in a retirement home.
