Seem like crypto had all the momentum during the beginning of the pandemic but they fumbled the ball. People making all these pump and dump coins, Elon controlling the market with tweets and people making videos showing how easy it is to scam people, make bogus coins and get money off that.

Here's a better chart for "crypto".

Down recently but it's got way less history than the USD and is trending up overall.

So many people jumped on that Bitcoin wave because it was the "cool", "popular" thing to do, might be in the same situation.
There's nothing wrong with investing in crypto. Investing a majority of your money in crypto is stupid as fukk. If you want ot throw like 5-10% at it that's fine tho.

The math is wrong Odell would have $94,954 instead of $35,703, plus the 50.3% is actually 49.3%. Plus you get taxed at each bracket and not at the highest end. Odell would owe $76,120.00 to the state of California and $241,879 to the federal government. That equals $317,999 in taxes owed. $412,953-$317,999 = $94,954

Also breh the white sports media and sports forums foundation is laughing at / making fun of black athletes hoping they go broke.

Most of the hate with black athletes is based on either that they are rich and smart with their money or they have blown all their money not being smart with their financial investments.

Why you think the first question they ask every black athlete is "So what you gonna buy with your first professional check?". They don't ask non black athletes these dumb ass questions.

This also isn't a bad take. Why isn't anyone talking about what Trevor Lawrence did with a far larger investment? Lawrence looks like an all time moron for this shyt.

Joe blew that idiot spot up. Darren was trying to do the usual sports hit piece on said black athlete going broke and it blew up in his face.

Tough break mainstream media bytch! Never forget when this hoe was on ESPN hating on black athletes.

Yeah I have a hard time believing this guy cares about the finances of black athletes. Seems like he is just anti-crypto. I'm sure if OBJ took all of his salary in gold or stocks this guy would call him a genius.

Ain't no money / clicks / documentaries / retweets without black pathology and black folks doing bad. Its big money in that whether you are liberal, moderate or conservative.

They all make money on black folks doing bad.

Negativity (Kayfabe)
Athletes should not be making large investments while they are actively playing their sport as many of them do not have the time during the day to keep an eye on their money.

Make your millions now and worry about that investment shyt after you retire.

Dirty suits make sure they constantly have their money in risks and take a cut.

My biggest problem with that Broke documentary is it made it seem that most athletes go broke balling out of control. It's "investing" and putting all the trusts in their "people."

It was record labels, car washings and restaurants. Now, it's gonna be crypto (which I believe is the future...just people aren't ready to for it) and NFTs.

Athletes have always invested.

Math is wrong in that twitter post.

but bitcoin is a very risky endeavor. With all risk, i always say take it if losing it means very little to you.

maybe these ppl can afford to.

Odell will be fine.

He basically figured (I think) that he's got enough money and wanted to invest in BTC. He wouldn't pay tax unless he converted it to USD.

He will keep the BTC and wait to cash out when it makes sense. If he holds it for a year, I think the top tax rate drops from 37% to 20% for a long term asset....plus any Cali taxes.

I don't think he'd pay tax this year since it's not "money" yet.
