October 2, is it too early for NBA seeding predictions?

I think you have too many teams winning 60 games.

I think you have Milwaukee too low.

And I have the Pistons getting the 8th seed over the celtics.

I agree with everything you posted out west.

sadly I wouldn't be surprised if my bulls finish lower.
How many teams has won 60 games in a season? 2?

And where you got the Bucks? It was hard leaving out the Pistons but Boston is deep with solid young players nobody near a star but dudes on that team can play and Stevens is a crafty dude. Really the 7-11th place in the East will very close IMO

Of course the ATL

With his skill set in our system, THJR could easily do what Demarre Carroll did and he's a more talented player. Keep in mind he's coming off the bench for us. Splitter could start for half the teams in the league, and you still gotta contend with Schroeder at backup point. Hawks have very good depth and 4 All Stars in the starting 5, I'll take our chances

First off Thabo was/is our best defender on the perimeter. Difference was Junkyard found a jump shot but our system created him. You failed to mention how G/F Tim Hardaway Jr was added for depth or how C Tiago Splitter was acquired to help us get bigger in the front court. Look for new addition G Justin Holiday to make an impact off the bench as well.

As for the teams you out ahead of us, the Heat had a hard time staying healthy and even with their additions do you really trust a Deng/Wade/Bosh core to stay healthy together for a whole season?

The Bulls are banged up already (Rose & Dunleavy)...what does Noah have left?

Even the Cavs have their issues with TT as a holdout and no Kyrie until Dec/Jan...not sure why any of those teams are ahead of ATL except for the fact you're a Heat fanboy who really doesn't watch games.

My predictions:

East

1. Hawks (added championship level depth with Splitter & THJR, can they replace the loss of DMC?)
2. Cavs (presumptive favorites, will TT holdout linger over the team? How long will Kyrie be out?)
3. Bulls (new coach Fred Hoiberg will push pace on offense, how good can Jimmy butler, Niko & Pau be in this system?)
4. Wiz (loss of Pierce is huge, look for Otto Porter and Bradley Beal to continue to grow)
5. Heat (lot of splashy new moves, but can they all stay healthy?)
6. Bucks (still a very young team, can MCW cut down the turnovers and Giannis take the next step? Still seems like they're missing a difference maker on offense even with the addition of C Greg Monroe
7. Celtics (Coach Brad Stephens will be a COY candidate with this team, C's have depth, but what will their starting 5 look like?
8. Raptors (added DeMarre Carroll in an effort to get tougher, Derozan & Lowry is a solid All Star backcourt, faded down the stretch after a hot start)

West

1. Warriors (Losing Kerr is a huge blow but still a tremendously talented team)
2. Spurs (LMA & TP PnR will be a thing of beauty to watch. Probably Ginoboli's last run)
3. LAC (ridiculous depth, their second unit's athleticism will allow them to push pace)
4. OKC (can KD & Russ stay healthy?)
5. HOU (Beverly & Ty Lawson are good depth at PG...one of the games best closers in Harden so they'll be a tough out in the playoffs)
6. MEM (added Brandon Wright for front court depth & Matt Barnes at SF, but do they have enough shooting to win an uptempo playoff series? IDK)
7. Pelicans (The Brow will have another MVP season and lead NO to the playoffs)
8. Utah (strong finish to last season bodes well for Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors & Co to make the playoffs this yr)
Forgot y'all got Hardaway and didn't know Splitter left SAS. Good pickups.

I don't think TT holds out that long. In fact he's better off signing that QO and becoming a UFA next summer I don't see him sitting out till December or some shyt. And Cavs are good enough to be solid w/o Kyrie though they're obviously better with him.

Bosh doesn't have a long history of injury outside of last year's issue. I trust Wade for 65 games and Dragic can ball in the 17 he misses. We'll see about Deng but he's a fourth option and if he's not 100% throughout the year I can see Winslow filling in nicely for him. If healthy we are not a 5th seed

Rose will be good for opening night but yeah he's always on injury watch.

All these standings are based on good health for every team though.

breh i don't think those western conference records are even possible. like those teams gotta play each other too, which would account for some of the losses, meaning the rest of the western conference would be stuck with a bunch of 10-20 win teams.

aside from that I disagree with the Kings making the playoffs over the Anthony Davis led Pelicans. They got shyt all spacing and their coaching staff and front office is as dysfunctional as it gets. You do recall that Karl was trying to get Cousins traded, right?

I also think the Pistons get in this year. They have a year under Stan and he's got the pieces he wants around Drummond. They should be good unless Jennings/Jackson is just a disaster in the backcourt.

Brooklyn will be treadmill bad, not 65+ L's bad

Philly will be improved just cuz.

Hornets, yeah, they may drop.

Portland will suck ( :blessed:) but they could be still the third best team in the division. Northwest Division is gonna be unwatchable outside of the Jazz
Who's on the Nets? Lopez is good but never healthy, Joe is 34 and like always on chill mode, Silver KG aint there to anchor team defense and intangibles anymore, Jack ain't gonna save them. Did they pick some dudes up I wasn't hip to?

Okafor technically makes Philly better but the East in general is better. They're far behind everyone in their division.

The Northwest is cool actually OKC is Northwest then the Jazz, Nuggets will entertain but wont win, Wiggins will probably average 20 but yeah Wolves got it tough out there :francis:

But breh even with Bosh, Wade & Deng healthy y'all just weren't a very good team. I see y'all improving this year but to 50 plus wins? Nah, I'd be surprised if y'all hit 45 wins

Cavs still don't have a lot of depth. They're still the favorite but I think we'll have a better reg season than them. No Kyrie, no Shump & no TT are huge losses to start the season off with

We'll see what CHI is without their best shooter in Dunleavy for a couple months. Still not sure what Noah is at this point in his career. Excited to see what Niko & Pau look like in Hoiberg's system
