I LOVED Avengers EMH's first season.

EMH got too episodic in the second season, I love it when the events of an episode has consequences down the line

  • Glad someone mentioned spec. Tired of beating that dead horse but way too slept on on this board full of comic book fans. Like slept on to the point where I gotta question the stripes of some cats here and their comic book adaptation handling abilities
It's the Goat Spidey show by far it kept the popular incarnatinations of our favorite characters and added new twists to them. The storylines were great with a lot of twists on familar stories. They did a fantastic job with his supporting cast and made sure the high school element a was prevalent and interesting in contrast to his superhero life. TBH I feel Marvel studios will try emulate the things this show got right for the reboot.

The best thing they could do is just do a live action version of the show. Complete with the green goblin twist down the line if they ever get to norman

Avengers compound
Man...:mjcry:...JLU ended perfectly though. Luthor and Darkseid left and the adventure continued if the series was ever brought back it it could have. Young Justice on the other hand......didn't get a just ending at all there were too many loose ends that could've been epic. Earth Mightiest Heroes as well was rushed in the 2nd season after the Kree saga because of the dumbass marvel wanting the series to reflect the movies. Spectacular Spiderman same thing smh. Yall heard Doomsday was going to appear in Young Justice s3 and Redhood aka jason too?? Maaaaan:mjcry:

yaw act like young justice had only 20 episodes. shyt had over 40. more than enough to give it that goat status. the stories were just as good and justice League ain't fukking with that goat creative freedom young justice had. none of that Devil Ray knockoff bullshyt, we got the real versions. plus everybody and they moms was on that bytch.

 let the nostalgia go.

Off the strength of this thread, I went back and tried to watch some eps of JLU...
shyt was borderline unwatchable tbh. Straight predictable trash. Subpar animation, plot induced stupidity and depowered heroes, etc.... :francis:
Young Justice, on the other hand, still holds up very well. Yea, I know it's a much newer show, but yea, cats need to let go of that nostalgia.

I haven't seen this show in so long, definitely gonna have to rewatch it soon, but it was definitely one of my top favorite shows back in the day, next to Teen Titans.
I loved the Question & Huntress. Should've had more episodes with them:ohlawd:

Can you give an example of these claims against jlu?

Yea breh I was watching the episode where Amazo comes back to earth. I think it was called 'Return' or something.

Aside from him just running through the entire league like they're made of paper (plot induced de-powering), the episode ended with "the greatest threat in the universe" just deciding that he "wanted to do something else now".
:what:

Like... that's it? Luthor just said to him, "find your purpose in life" and suddenly this being who was on a galactic rampage, who shifted Io into another dimension in the blink of an eye (literally), and laid waste to the entire Justice League decided, "Well ya I should go find a purpose... shyt, why didn't I think of that?"

:comeon:

It's just filled with shytty writing and mostly boring storylines.

I saw Amazo hanging with the league in later episodes so I'm guessing he joined the league... so now we have the problem of him needing to be de-powered in order to fit the storyline at hand, which makes no goddamn sense.

Young Justice didn't have to deal with this nonsense because the "sidekick" characters were already de-powered versions of the JL, which made for much more interesting and less "convenient plot induced" writing.

Plus, the animation in Young Justice is undeniably better.

Just my $0.02

Plot-induced depowering? :smh: it was well-established Amazo was more than a match for the JL. Even before that episode, he had beat the shyt out of them twice before, and the whole idea was that after traveling the universe he'd only gotten even stronger

And his whole schtick was trying to find a purpose in life, that's why he left Earth to begin with. The only reason he fought the League on his way back is because they assumed he was trying to kill Luthor for trying to set him up in another episode. Dude wasn't supposed to be malicious, just direct
