BHO wants to federalize police forces.....is this good or bad? Is this overstepping or perfect solution? Is this a ploy or good response?

Ever heard of military court? Federal can by pass state guidelines. Can also override state prosecution. Thats a big problem as well. These cops are not indicted because the state level chooses not to. Evidence dissapears.....witnesses are not utilized...false witnesses are. Federal overhaual is definitely needed.

Good...the enemy of civil rights movements in this country has long been local and state governments...and nothing has changed. States hire or select prosecutors, they hire police, they are literally the support systems to many of these racist pockets of police officers nationwide. It's bound to happen ...state gov'ts have shown themselves to be non-effective and obsolete.

The federal government sucks at delivering services to the end consumer/user in many, many, many cases.

Cops need better oversight as a function of law, not administration necessarily. Localities are far more innovative and have more opportunity to address the needs of the community outside of what national concerns proclaim

And exactly what drug ring or trade have any local cops ever resolved? A lot of local law enforcers are a bunch of meatheads that only have their jobs because of some political affiliation or because their dads, granddads, uncles were either cops or firemen. As we saw the other night; most of them are completely incompetent.
