Hey, the way I see it that several Obama supporters here are quick to claim that Obama is defending his position with just undeniable facts...I just don't see it that way. lol

I mean I seriously think some of the people on here deliberately turn down the volume when Romney speaks..because he allegedly "called him out" on various things as well that he thought were true...anything from what his definition of what the actual employment rate was... to raising the deficit more in 4 years than Bush did in 8...or the issue about permits and licenses for alternative energy sources and the Behnghazi escapade.

I mean if you're clearly an Obama supporter and sincerely believe that he is just speaking the "truth" and went on a mission tonight...then that's fine and dandy...but what I saw from both of them was a ALOT of relentless "fact checking" from one another which is why I really can't say either one was any more impressive than the other. The only thing I can say though is that Obama clearly appeared to be more engaged this time around, but that's about it.

As far as representatives running for different parties...I agree...Gary Johnson for example is an impressive option, while Roseanne Barr is well...Roseanne Barr...

But I think it's somewhat hilarious that people are simply stoked that Obama didn't flounder on this one. I mean he did aiiight...its the really the way I expected him to look the first time around TBH.

you still dont get it.

romney is not stating how he plans on getting his vision done. now thats a fact that everyone should admit. and since thats the case. THERE IS NO DEBATE.

one guy is just using talking points to say you didnt do this or this or this. But i will. okay .. so how will you do it? uhh uhh crickets. non of your business america. just believe me since i'm a business owner and mass governor.

thats.. not .. a debate.

the truth is, the real reason that things are going faster then they are is because the repubs were INTENTIONALLY trying to sabotage obama's time in office by not allowing him to implement things in his plan that most likely would've sped up the recovery even more. the repubs strategically did this to win this coming up election. they wanted to provide their candidate with talking points to run on "hey prez you didnt do this, this and this. " when in reality. the only reason i couldnt is because your people wouldnt play ball ON purpose. therefore not serving the people. but serving an agenda.

the other side of it is that the economy is not going to ROAR back like obama thought or romney thinks. not going to happen. UNLESS we get a big boom. housing was fake, it was a bubble it burst. .com was somewhat real. but even the bubble in that burst so thats over. the only thing left out there is to go with this green/clean energy (wind, water, solar, electric cars). thats something that could bring back our manufacturing jobs as well as the best products being shipped from the US abroad as well as sold here.

romney aint trying to go green. obama is. but again repubs are slowing that down as well.

lastly talking about the deficit is nonsense anyway. 90% of the people that bring it up dont know what they are talking about. they talk about as if its a family budget. its not. not even close. its more like a business account. most businesses work off of credit. not off of what they have just earned.

but most people wont even admit they dont know what the heck the deficit is and what it means and how it works.

and to blow up the deficit even MORE so then bush. that says what? he has to go to an extrem in order to fix what bush broke. since we dont have a clinton boom (dot com). we have to manually boost the economy. we are also paying for two wars bush got us in. when in reality we should've just gone after osama to begin with. with a few troops not the army going after iraq, etc. we would've never been at war like we are now. which would've gave us trillions of dollars back in our coffers.

so what obama isn't for two parent households. :beli:

overall the most important thing i heard from either of them was from Obama about funding education and r&d in this country, something the republicans are against, which is the only thing that would help the us economy in the long run. that whole putting pressure on china thing mitt said is bullshyt. like obama said most of those jobs are not coming back so the best thing for the u.s is to have a higher skilled and educated workforce that would drive more innovations and the only how we can have that is to encourage more people to go into science, engineering, etc and overall higher education and make sure they can fund it.

i also like where he shot down the anti business claims that the repubs been pushing for awhile now and layed down the facts that what he's trying to do is no different than what was done after WWII when the government spent a shytload on education and the economy which is basically responsible for the success alot of americans have been enjoying the last few years now.
^^This.

and he aint just saying R& D for any thing. he specifically talks about going GREEN and clean with our energy. that alone could give great paying jobs to the old manufacturing base. and give great paying jobs to the new graduates as well as current folks with education out of a good paying job. but the repubs says NOOOOOOOO. lets stick to the status quo gas/oil. the usual. and lets not do anything else but that. oh and coal. lol. you have to do it all. you use coal, gas(natural), oil. to bridge a gap until you get to the point where you can be 100% gasless, oiless or very close to it.

The format of the town hall debate is garbage.

:childplease: @ most of the questions.

It would have been nice if the brotha had asked Obama and Romney what types of policies they plan to help struggling African American communities.

The Latina asked about immigration.

There's demand here in CA. Most students give up fast and switch majors though; engineering school is extremely tough.

Yeah you always hear of engineering students committing suicide, if it's too much why not just take less units right :heh:

Seriously, I've taken 9-12 units, before half the stress. Currently taking 16, and I hate it, there's always sh*t to do. 24/7 :why:

I'm going to say this not as a way to stick up for obama, but there are no specific policies that can be targeted for the african american community. The best that could be done is to promote greater education in low income communities so that more african americans can graduate from high school or college or go into the work force. Obama said a bit of that in his answer to gun control I think.

Anyway what will help American middle and poor will inevitably help the african american community too. I just get tired of people who think that there are specific things that can be done for a certain ethnicity as if it isn't just something that will help the entire country.

Man obama was more aggressive this time round, which he needed to be. That last debate he was ehhh. But when romney was sayin I wanna get tough on china. Obama started his rebuttal saying how romney invest in comps in china who build technology to spy on the people of china. Obama turned to romeny n said "romney you're the last person who's gonna get tough on china". Then turned around and kept talkin. I was like :leon:
