I explained why racism started. When colonization of the Americas first happened powerful people turned to lower classes against each other so they wouldn't rise up while they were being robbed(i.e: paid peanutes for their workforce).
But you're obviously looking looking for some "white man is the devil" type of admission. You've already made up your mind about it, you won't hear anything else. So why be disingenuous?
Yes but whites had the upper hand during colonization and we were the ones working for free, so what do you mean division? white folks during that time were either rich, owned slaves or worked for actual money. I dont recall any whites being on the fields with us.I explained why racism started. It's only the US because the US was built on the back of slaves. Slavery is the reason for the US' prosperity, and racism came as a result of the slave trade.I'm not being disingenuous, I've studied our history and there is no reason for white people to treat black people the way they are treated even to this very day. No other race does this happen to. Just black and white...you all may direct some ill will towards others but when it comes down to it...you make sure your oppression affects blacks the most. That is just a fact. I can't come up with anything that can make sense of this...
skip to 4:50 & watch what the old lady says once confronted....its US and only us that whites have a direct problem with.
See above. And try to understand one thing: the average(read: poor)man benefits little from racism, just as he benefited little from slavery. They usually have it just a little better than the opressed for obvious reasons:Yes but whites had the upper hand during colonization and we were the ones working for free, so what do you mean division? white folks during that time were either rich, owned slaves or worked for actual money. The NEW european immigrants were poor, but then even they got a chance to get rich over us even tho we paid with our blood and service. we never got our mule and acres. You'd rather give a job to a new immigrant polish illiterate than us, that doesnt sound like divide and conquer to me, that sounds like pure conquer and hatred toward one group. its always been there, we were once free in the U.S (1600s) and then magically you lot turned on us.
I could see if an event prompted the hatred but we've always been :bryantshrug::mannypac: with white folks, even the native americans came with open arms (where you think thanksgiving came from) helped yall survive the harsh winters, and then BOOM yall turned on them, at least with them I could see where the fight started, they were tagging yall back, but we didn't even strike back and yall gave them casinos and gave us nothing.

For thousands of years slavery existed, but was not motivate by race. Race as we understand it today wasn't even a concept. But then the Americas were discovered and colonized, and rich, powerful people(most of them white) needed a cheap workforce. At first they tried enslaving the natives, but that didn't work. So black slaves as well as white "indentured servants"(who were just slaves under another name) were brought. The problem was that obviously the elites were few in number, and were surrounded by thousands and thousands of angry slaves. There was the very real that they would rise up.
So how do you prevent that? The age old divide and conquer. Read up on Bacon's rebellion.
Black people were the most easily segregated(because they were the farthest from home). So wealthy plantation owners elevated white slaves just a little, put it into their heads that they were superior to black slaves. Take that to its logical conclusion.
Also you posted that video, but what do you think would happen in the same scenario if the father was a strict Asian instead of white?
Yes, there were, but black people were the easiest target. It was about cheap labour. The plantation owners would have went to Pluto if cheap labour could be found. Fortunately for them Africa was closer.I know about Bacon's rebellion and it did aide into the tool used against blacks today but it is not the beginning and reason for it today. There are other folks whites could disenfranchise and treat poorly but its still focused on black folks.
Bacon's rebellion did not happen until 1676, while the Doctrine of Exclusion was applied in 1638...try harder breh.
I get what youre saying in terms of kids that live in metropolitans, capitals and bigger cities that are melting pots, but oddly enough, those places have the LEAST amount of racism compared to the rural areas for example. Red Staters have less black on white crime than blue staters. Yet red staters are the MOST racist
this really how it is too
maybe black folks got some kinda of Super Power we don't know about yet
exactly. And that's how these services tended to play out until Obama entered the White House (although to be fair, W Bush also invited some black service men). But there would be absolutely nooooooo problem if all the vets in the picture were white.
Also I'm getting a vibe that you got your quote from sf.
