the facts are already out there. the quality of life has decreased for black people. unemployment has increased for blacks, wealth has been lost. we're getting killed by cops at all time highs. black folks fukked up giving this half cac 100% of our support.

I mean let's be honest, when it comes to that issue and issues like it, like the killing of unarmed black people by cops, the most we got from him are speeches. Some were good, some were not, but they are speeches nonetheless. That's it.

No one is saying he has to overhaul the system by himself, that's not possible.
No one is asking him to change the mind of white supremacists.

Right now, the situation in the short term is very simple: police who are killing unarmed black people (and dare I say unarmed ppl in general) are either not being charged or are constantly being acquited.

Can we honestly say that he did everything he could? Absolutely not.

Quick example: He could've instructed the DOJ to enact fed charges on Zimmerman, Darren Wilson, Eric Garner's killer, and so on. Why hasn't he done that, especially with the Eric Garner case?

Meanwhile, when the Rodney King riots occurred, George Bush Sr. told the DOJ to slap fed charges on the cops who beat up Rodney King.

I don't know. He literally holds the keys to the kingdom. He has the nuclear keys and the lives of 315 million Americans and untold millions around the world are in his hands. Putin (I think) is in a similar situation as is the Chinese premier. This is why presidents age like crazy in just a few years. I don't think I'd be able to sleep at night with that responsibility. I don't know if I would be able to give the code commands if I got the call. I'd be sweating blood not knowing if it was some conspiracy or if I should believe it if the joint chiefs called in on the red phone saying Russia had launched and we need to counter-strike. Those are the types of realities a president faces. .

I always bring this up. Along with the fact that the DOJ under the Obama administration convicted Barry Bonds of obstruction of justice. But the same DOJ under this administration threw out the charges against Lance Armstrong.

Obama is cooked for me. I don't understand how he can have bully pulpit and do nothing at all for people who look like him....and more importantly, who gave him damn near 100 percent of their vote. Yea, we needed a better agenda. But no agenda is needed to force the DOJ to take some real, concentrated action against obvious police barbarism targeting a specific group on a national scale.

I'm pretty sure Obama used the word Thugs, to take some of the heat off the Baltimore Mayor's back from the backlash she getting and going to get for saying it initially.
