Bro,

I clearly said name legislation or programs focused on homosexuals exclusively...

That's a direct question, if you've got the response I'll gladly shut the fukk up.. if not you gotta keep it 100 and respect what this man did for a young generation of African American men who may not have a father in the home, a chance at college, live in deprived areas, etc (i could go on for days)

Trump
Cruz
Clinton

Even Bernie wouldn't have created this program.

So you don't recall his support and work to repel "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"? Hell, 75% of the Obama-Biden Civil Rights Plan is geared towards homosexuals. Go thru his agenda and pick out the stuff that's actually been accomplished. Like I said, nothing "specific" for blacks....however very specific stuff for homosexuals.

Civil Rights | Change.gov: The Obama-Biden Transition Team

8 years in the white house and blacks get a Big Brother program. Cool.

You think Clinton will "run" from being a woman and fighting for women issues if she is president? Do you think she'd stand silent as women are being beaten by men on an endless loop like blacks are being killed by cops? You think she'd have a beer in the garden with a man who hit one of her famous female friends? And most of all, do you think after 8 years, all she'll specifically do for women is a Big Sister Program with actresses from Hollywood as her props?

I already said I support the brother, but I'm not about to tout this as some game changer for black men.

They're not meant to so can we judge them based on what they're actually meant to accomplish?

Only Obamacare? Changing federal crack cocaine sentence disparity laws didn't help black people? Cutting down on predatory credit card company behavior didn't help black people? The administration's slow but effective attempt to bankrupt for-profit universities doesn't help black people? Defending Civil Rights Act regulations and challenging Voting Rights Act abuses doesn't help black people? etc
I have defended Obama plenty of times, but what you need to understand is that people understand the world as it is around them. Cole himself has rapped about not seeing the change. As a rule of thumb, if people are incapable of feeling what you're doing to benefit them directly then you (a) did not market it well or (b) it might be for the greater good but not relevant to them. Let's be clear, all those things are beneficial to black people, but they're a drop in the pan. Credit and insurance companies still discriminate against black and brown people. Sentencing laws only help people that are caught with drugs on them, this generation messes with drugs of that sort to a much lesser degree. They're more weed heads. The attempt bankrupt for-profit universities does nothing to make other universities more affordable and black people are more prone to be in student loan debt than anyone else.

The point is, Obama was a stabilizing force for the United States of America. He was what it needed at that time, but he did more to keep us from going under than he did to get us ashore. The guy's the best president of my lifetime, but people are overly protective of his policies just because of how racist Republicans were to him.

peckerwoods watching we need to be on our best behavior :mjlol:
Exactly, OP is notorious for craving white acceptance, his crying in this thread is along the same lines.
Its just the visual respect you have for the president who had to fight to get in that fukking building, is all :rudy:

J Cole takes an unadulterated, massive, L here.

I don't give a fukk what type of "individual" you wanna be.

You'll look back in 20 years and regret not at least putting some fukking slacks on rather than your dirty ass champion sweats.

Hov should smack the fire out that jackass.
No, he doesn't take an L at all. Respect is not in the clothes you wear, it is in your actions. He is not going to regret what he wore, it's a 100% non issue. Hov shouldn't do shyt, J Cole did nothing wrong, and I respect him more for staying real.

Like breh said above, you wouldn't complain if the Dalai Lama wouldn't wear a suit or the pope or even some redneck farmer who got invited. But since it's a black dude, he has to shine up real nice so no white folks would think bad of us

:salute: to Cole for keeping it hood, it's important af to be true to who you are. If some cac hipster showed up in thrift store gear, you c00ns wouldn't bat an eye. "Well, he's just being trendy". But it's always a double standard for BM
He is American though...

The more I think it about it there is something rebellious about Cole not wearing a suit. Usually when you get invited to the white house the code has always been a formal attire. Now if you've been following Cole lately he's been on this I'm a do me and fukk everybody else flow. But I wonder if it's deeper than that keep in mind he has said some disparaging comments about our president in the past.
