And we OURSELVES are reinforcing those racist propaganda. Hence this thread!!! My question in the OP was why dont we police and monitor these negative and destructive messages & images. No other race of people has songs glorifying and promoting the genocide of its own people, gang affiliation and drug distribution being broadcast to its own people BY its own people. Matter of fact its our most popular form of music. Where's the censorship? Where's the self respect for our image(not to others but to ourselves)? We are the laughingstock of the world to put it bluntly. No other group disrespects themselves more than we do and we lead that category by a landslide. And the worst part is that we dont care to change that as evidence by the calling it "just entertainment". Ignorance is synonymous with black people and we give credibility to that statement.
What we're known for has always been negative stereotypes. You are not holding up a mirror, you are repeating racist propaganda.

I GUARANTEE you're one of the extreme few that has heard that song on black radio. Like i bet that Kanye, Rihanna,McCartney song(which has a positive uplifting feel to it) wont get play on black radio but i bet that other Kanye, All Day(straight ratchet vibe) gets mad play
for the record, "the Man" was played on urban radio stations. I know for a fact that Hartford played that shyt all the time and when I was in NYC it was on all the time also.

People in here just saying shyt just to say it. :shaq2:

We also support and reinforce plenty of positivity, but that gets ignored.

My question in the OP was why dont we police and monitor these negative and destructive messages & images.
We don't control them, and plenty of black people do speak out against them. But at the same time entertainment is just that. There's nothing wrong with people indulging in entertainment in its many forms.

No other race of people has songs glorifying and promoting the genocide of its own people, gang affiliation and drug distribution being broadcast to its own people BY its own people.
Not true

Matter of fact its our most popular form of music.
Not true

The better question is why are we the only ones who are judged and defined by the negative images of us placed on TV?

OT genesis makes coco and that's "black culture"
Miley Cyris spreads her legs for the world to see and she's just a young girl out here having fun.

We are the laughingstock of the world to put it bluntly. No other group disrespects themselves more than we do and we lead that category by a landslide. You are truly just repeating bill o'reily nonsense. I'm gonna need some type of confirmation that you are black and sincere if I'm to continue this conversation.

@PhonZhi, You're absolutely right. But I still hate you for stating the realness. You're ruining the mindless, generic fun.

I'M IN LOVE WIT THE COCO

I mean it is still a form of art. What else do you expect some one to write about,? if that's all they see or hear. But there is a point to be made, the fact that in the minority community that is what mainly gets air play (ignorance). Music has its own natural selection system. Coco genesis won't last 2 more years. Only lyrics and hard work into a song really last in the rap game. There isn't an artist that's stayed around spitting shyt like coco.
