O.T. Genasis - CoCo [Music Video]: I think the general consensus is that Laffy Taffy was the lowest point as far as hiphop but i think this song is damn close to making a new standard. I mean it literally sounds like a skit. The factthat its a real song that gets play nationwide on mainstream radio is disturbing to how low the bar is now. You can LITERALLY talk/yell over a track and get major play as long as the beat is hot
Now on to the "black community". Our self respect is so low that an OBVIOUS ode to the distribution of cocaine is being let made cool. Where's the censorship in our community? I mean the song is so graphic in its repeated line "bakin soda!!!! I got BAKING SODA!!!" How is this even REMOTELY appropriate to be played on MAINSTREAM RADIO??? I listen to a lot of pop aka "white" stations and the vibe is totally different. Its waaaay more positive and upbeat. Only in our community is a song so inappropriate allowed to be so freely played. My question is: why do we not care about ourselves enough to police and monitor what we are feeding our minds & souls? In every "anti" hiphop thread cats chime in defense of rap by saying "the government pumped drugs into the community". So why are yall ok with music that glorifies these drugs that the government used to help destroy black communities:francis:

I agree, the beat bangs and its entertaining. But why do we have no standards like other groups? I dont hear songs about murder and gang affiliation nowhere else but stations geared towards blacks.

beat slaps bruh :yeshrug:

It's one of the funniest songs I've ever heard in my life. That trumps everything. :manny:

On the bright side it's a one bit wonder. This dude won't ever have a hit again or probably release another song with any affect..Let just turn this into the most ignorant tracks ever made thread.
