I'm Muslim and I still find it hard to trust Arabs
Something about them makes me cringe.
If left up to me I'd go to a mosque with Africans, African Americans, Asians.
I've been to mosques where Arabs don't like to pray next to blacks.
if you're not muslim the only reasons you believe this is true is not based on any fact. its purely based on what you've seen. meaning. you've seen the pilgrims(white god believing religious folks representing some sect of christianity), you've see right wing christians hate on blacks/minorities, you've seen kkk members with crosses, and you rarely if ever see a american born white person thats a muslim. when you see muslims you see foreigners of all colors or you see National of islam brothas and sistas in the states. and last but not least when they talk about the slave trade they always talk about europe. rarely if ever do you hear about the slave trade going on in the middle east and other parts of the world involving african slaves (see map below.)Honestly, I think Islam is better for blacks than Christianity
You bring up a valid point but a lot of it is me feeling like blacks need discipline and Islam encourages discipline more than Christianity doesif you're not muslim the only reasons you believe this is true is not based on any fact. its purely based on what you've seen. meaning. you've seen the pilgrims(white god believing religious folks representing some sect of christianity), you've see right wing christians hate on blacks/minorities, you've seen kkk members with crosses, and you rarely if ever see a american born white person thats a muslim. when you see muslims you see foreigners of all colors or you see National of islam brothas and sistas in the states. and last but not least when they talk about the slave trade they always talk about europe. rarely if ever do you hear about the slave trade going on in the middle east and other parts of the world involving african slaves (see map below.)
you also may not know that the middle east were the last ones to stop messing with slaves. and we know the middle east for the most part = muslims
Damn, I've never felt that breh, but I think there is a large amount of arabs that feel they are superior to us, even though the Prophet Muhammad PBUH clearly stated that's not true.

You don't see Sudanese having children out of wedlock
You rarely see Somalis messing around with non Somalis[/
The thread title alone is bait. It is not Islam promoting this crazy shyt, it is the Arabs and their culture. Their culture is based on ignorance and arrogance of "knowing" the Quran, when they themselves haven't read the damn thing in centuries. The Arabic in the book is different than what they speak. They lost the ability to read the words because folks got on a power trip (sounds like other religions yea?) and used it for their own selfish gain. One of the reasons why there are Sunni and Shiite Muslims.
Why do people want to live in this bubble where its "fukk everything" because of people who misrepresent religion?!
ALL THE NEGATIVE shyt IS CULTURE BRED FROM OUTSIDE OF THE FAITH.
If the general public can't separate culture and religion, I dunno what to tell you. True religion brings people together despite backgrounds and race. That is dangerous to people in power.
The hell do people believe in anymore?
White folk don't need to do shyt anymore besides small bits of damage control in different parts of the world.
The programming is deep within all of us
Cop out.
Religion and culture feed off each other.
Early Americans could justify slavery through scriptures. The abolition movement also had strong biblical inspirations. In the end, it's people from their times using religion to see and justify whatever they happen to believe in at that time.
Same shyt with Islam. There's enough in the Quran and hadiths to proclaim it is a religion of peace, but conversely, there's also enough for the lunatics to take the most batshyt insane nihilist interpretations and take it to its logical and bloody conclusions
You blame religion as if it is a sentient being. Religion was put on the earth with strict doctrines to follow. If people do not follow said doctrine they are not following a religion. Misuse lies with the people, not scriptures. The books are for everyone, why do you think they want you to dismiss religion? They don't want you to read and find the truth.
The problem is that people have become way too comfortable with the misuse of religion. Not enough people practice their own to begin with. Then they judge others based on second hand info. The world felt as if we knew enough to get by, now they are just stories. The cop out is dismissing religion when you aren't even checking it to begin with.
Bzzzt Wrong.
Read my last post again, I blame the people. But successful religions tend to be just vague and ambiguous enough to attract a large array of converts who can see what they want to see in that religion while not agreeing with each other. Ultimately, religions are created by people so there lies the responsibility in the end.
You talk of "misusing" religion but it's just you unable to admit that different people do not see what you see in religion. Why do you need hundreds upon hundreds of pages of varying interpretations of scriptures if the divine word was so clear cut in the first place? Issues like war (jihad) and slavery are particularly thorny in Islam considering the faith was born in war and Islam sort of condones slavery from the get-go (treat your non-Muslim slaves well and all is ok!).
The Shia-Sunni schism is not just some power-hungry folks misusing scriptures, there was a real dispute and difference of opinion following the death of Mohammad. It didn't help that Sunnis were rather intolerant versus the Shia through the centuries (and even now), further cementing the split. Do not whitewash early Islamic history.
