Alot of nba writers have re-tweeted and co-signed Beck's story. If the Knicks weren't offering him to every nba team for "free" they wouldn't be doing it. Knicks fans don't wanna believe the truth and blame the messenger. What about this article isn't factual?
The Knicks have been inept with Anthony and Stoudemire in the lineup, going 30-36 over parts of two seasons and 1-7 in the playoffs. Advanced metrics show the Knicks are demonstrably worse — both offensively and defensively — when the two share the court.
The above quote isnt factual, as it veers from dishonestly to boldfaced lying. When Beck references the 30-36 record, he conveniently forgets to mention that a bulk of that record was complied when D'Antoni was coach, and when Melo was playing through multiple injuries during the beginning of the 11-12 abbreviated season. This is even more damming when considering that the Melo/Amare/Tyson triumvirate is like 8-1 with our current coach, which of course he also fails to include.
But then Beck follows that with a boldface lie about the 1-7 playoff record. He knows damn well Amare was hurt for both series and may have played in 2-3 games, total (and not at 100% at that). Shameless dishonesty, which puts his whole piece, and perhaps career, in to question. This is disturbing to me.
