Why do you think Ohtani wouldn't want to play for the Yankees?

I agree with you on Murakami. Yankees shouldn't let him out of their sights.
He peaced them out already knowing the Yankees were moving heaven and earth specifically to land him. I doubt he chooses to go to the East Coast now.

Yeah, that did suck.

But, who knows what will happen? I saw an article that said that he's not against playing for the Yankees, so :manny:

You’re not getting what you want because many of us are happy about this. If this results in Boone and Cashman leaving, it’s a win. New York sports fans are not like you homer fans from around the country. We despise elements of our own.
I’m a Texan fan and hate the ownership and wanted the Texans to lose to get rid of BOB and Easterbay. So, I understand where you coming from.

In my opinion, the Yankees need to sign more Japanese & South Korean hitters. Japanese & Korean baseball players are generally more fluid and exciting. They also are usually about contact and making base hits - which is something the Yankees don't seem to how know to do (at least in the playoffs). Getting Munetaka Murakami would be a good start (when he's ready).

Hideki Matsui is a huge reason why the Yankees won the 2009 World Series. He was the WS MVP but just in general, he was a CLUTCH hitter and got base hits. Matsui could suit up right now and get more hits than IKF, Donaldson & Carpenter combined. He threw out the first pitch at Game 3 yesterday.

But what’s their war and exit velocity numbers looking like? And what percentage of times do they hit home runs when the pitcher is 60% into his pitch count when he’s thrown 54% fastballs thrown on a 2-1 count after 8:25pm?

:heh: @ the possibility of another rainout here. This has been a miserable playoff experience.
