Carpenter’s first AB’s in two months is against Elite pitching

Why didn’t they play him against the Rangers, who he could at least try to shake the rust off?

He looks awful
cuz he wasn't able to.

When all their players get banged up near the end, they don't have a choice but to rely on them to contribute.

DJ, Carpenter, Benintendi, and to a lesser extent Bader and Peraza

the most they coulda did was play Marwin more,

and considering Donaldson been playing all this time and looks as sorry as anyone, this is a teamwide problem again.

Donaldson and Carpenter killed the team tonight, the big spots always find you when you’re struggling :beli: Tomorrow’s close to a must win.
I need Peraza at SS and IKF at 3B tomorrow.

I'll even live with Cabrera, but Josh needs to take a seat. If he wants to strike out in a big moment, he can do it as a pinch hitter. fukk him.

Positive notes: thier (Yankees) best relief pitchers weren't used save for Trevino who on the right day has knockout stuff.
Also the Yankees were able to see thier best 3 relief pitchers tonight rendering Montero possibly unavailable for tomorrow.

Negatives.... everything else. They could've won this game.
