What I don't get is how a 13 year puts a 50 year old woman in a duffel bag. I don't think it was the son. My bet is on the husband.

What purpose does a random killer have putting her body in a bag and dragging her about 20 mins away just to leave her there?

Another dumb move by the boy because nowadays people who cheat lock their phone with a code or fingerprint. They're not just gonna have an unlocked phone where their family can read their cheating texts lol. The text was a last minute scheme to add to his cover because 1) She wasn't cheating so she doesn't have a lock on her phone and 2) if you really want to kill the whole family, why warn the family in question? Why not wait until they're done mourning and hit them up. Now they got security and are looking out for you. So yeah, it's the son.

Why would a hit be so sloppy. If you killing someone you want to be in and out so no one sees you. Stabbing someone 60 times takes time and leaves evidence.

This was a crime of passion. Either by the other son or because of an affair that ended wrong..

Yeah or he could’ve made her tell him before she went out. But yeah a grown hit man would be able to handle someone you’d think.

I believe her husband did it or her 13 year old son.

1. Why would a woman invite another man into her home with her 13 year old son present if discretion was important?
2. Why would some killer, kill the woman in the home, then stuff her into a duffle bag to transport her remains somewhere else? Would that not cause for more suspicion?
   
3. Why make a text threatening the whole family after? That makes no sense either.

Looks like one of the family members did it to me. I am no detective though.

Killer choosing to walk a half-mile instead of driving (likely didn't have access to a car, or didn't want to risk driving)
Convenience of hockey duffel bag(which belongs to the kid)
