Being male or female comes with inherent differences which will manifest themselves in like behaviors regardless of cultural influences.

I will give a more in-depth answer later when I have more time, but the male/female divide is one of the first class divisions to arise in human history, with women being pushed into a subordinate socioeconomic role.
