NY should do what The West just did. Which artist from Kendricks generation can spearhead the movement and lead th show?

If anyone, I'd say Rocky. He has that "it" the others like Joey, French, and boogie don't. Plus being with Rihanna. And he can actually rap!

I'm late on the ASAP Mob but I actually feel the guys I've heard. I think they could've been bigger, they just were caught up in a time when hip hop was rebelling against nearly anything NY. And they still had moderate success. Then it's like they just stopped making music. Only time you see Rocky is on cameos...which he does pretty well on.

And NOOOOOO!! Two female artists are not doing it like that. Some their songs smack, and they cool, but....nawww son. A female artist can't hold a coast down by themselves.

For y’all that’s saying French Montana, and as a person that actually does mess with French dating all the way back to the Cocaine City days, I’m pretty sure despite all the connections, NY doesn’t look at him like THAT.

Mentioning A-Boogie :mjlol: :mjlol: :mjlol: :mjlol:
Just hating son

Idk what it is about A boogie he could actually do it because he sells out arenas he could also bring people together since he has connections with other rappers in the city and he doesn’t hate anyone aside from Lil Tjay

Buffalo is so far away that we don't lump them into anything we do. Buffalo might as well be Toronto to us.
This is true but NYC is Griselda’s biggest market.

They could do a “real hip hop show” in NYC with all the upstate rappers and the downstate rappers that paved the way for them like Roc Marciano and Smoke DZA, and then throw in all the old heads I mean they managed to pull a Black Star reunion.

Leave out Redman then. Replace him with DMX.

Long Island, New Rochelle and Yonkers ain't in NYC. That was my point.:snoop:

We gon act like Max B didn't exist?
Stack Bundles fame grew partly from Lupe Fiasco, who he was affiliated with before Jim Jones, but mostly from Max B and French Montana fanbases who kept his name alive after his death. Not to mention Chinx, who Stack was in Riot Squad with.

If the latter didn't exist and it was just Jim to go off of, then hardly anybody would be talking about Stack Bundles today. Even Lupe has has kept his name alive more than anybody in ByrdGang. Stack was never a big name even regionally.

As for inspiration to emulate what LA doing, it would be good but I wouldn't bet on it.

I said potenential next New York great,Max B definitely doesnt exist in that convo:mjlol:. Hes definitely not cut from that cloth, wasnt even nearly as competent as Ja or 50 on the mic, with far worst hooks. Til this day I still think it was an inside joke,or new york desperation that was prevelant at the time lol.

Second of all,French Montanna and Max B couldnt keep a determined roach alive. Letalong keep Stacks name alive. I know Lupe,Budden,Flip,Jim Jones,French,Max have mentioned him hear and there. But none of that shyt moving the needle like that. I can kinda give you Chinx because he made it his business to prop up Stack consistently. And he was asked about Stack alot.

People dont really talk about Stack like that today. One of many rappers to die and kinda be forgotten:francis:

He never got a chance to follow up the buzz he created off that M.O.B tape. But that mixtape era definitely had a cult following. And Budden had quite the following back then too. So id say more people knew him through Joe than some of the people you listed.

But yeah, his buzz was lukewarm UNTIL his performance on M.O.B:wow:. Id been hyping him for years,so its sad we didnt get to see how he wouldve followed that buzz up.

Im just rejecting the idea of his name being alive. And the idea that Max could be a potential NY great:scust:

Weirdly it's Nicki. She's only 4 years older than kendrick and released her first album a year before section 80. Plus she sells out NYC so much she had to add shows.

People saying A Boogie or Lil Tjay, but they arent in kendrick's age group, and lets be real, most LA acts arent as big as them right now either. It was a Kendrick concert with guests. Thats why it was big. Has nothing to do with the other current rappers

but Nicki has as many people here who don't fukk with her. Nicki's the type to bring out 6ix9ine as a surprise guest only for half the crowd and half the rest of the features to angrily disapprove.
