The whole starting 5 for the Cavs needs to stay locked in a gym and weight room until the start of next season. Bickerstaff better learn how to make adjustments otherwise Gilbert is going to replace him. They're in a bit of a bad spot contact wise, because they need a starting 3 and some depth, but they won't have a ton of cap room for about 2 years -- right when Mitchell's contract has a player option.:snoop:

Mitchell isn't going to leave especially with the upcoming cap spike and increased contracts, so they shouldn't worry about that part. Solving the depth issue will be easier than fixing the starting 3 issue. They still have 2nd round picks incoming so they better use them towards drafting and development since the upcoming CBA changes make them more valuable to keep.

A lot of their issues could be resolved if both Mobley and Okoro became at least average shooters instead of essentially three offensive liabilities on the floor including Allen.

I still wonder if the Cavs see Mobley's brother as the long term solution at the 3 :patrice: . His G-league stats aren't terrible: 23.2 ppg, 9.6 reb, 3.7 ast and 1.4 blk. He was on the bench the entire playoffs too.

If the Knicks had the Pistons to whoop they'd be the 4 seed anyway
Great point. Knicks had to go against Celtics, Sixers and Nets (while KD and Kyrie were still there). That's like when Goku fighting with weights on.:ohhh:

Bickerstaff is jsut the coach. He can’t really adjust becaue of his personnel. They need to move Allen while he’s still in his prime and change their playing style. They need to play faster. They have too much speed and athleticism on the wing to be playing at the snail pace. I said back in December that they were goin to have a short lived postseason appearance because of the slowed down pace they played that fooled ppl into believing they were a dominant defensive team.

You seen it last night when they pushed the tempo and pace against New York early on they made runs. They played slow to maximize their player personnel and the double big lineup but now they should see that style has its limitations and gets exposed in the postseason. Unless Mobley takes another leap, they can’t come back the same as they are. Their halfcourt offense isn’t good enough

Altman goin have to get creative.

Maybe trade Jarrett Allen for John Collins but hawks already have Capela so that probabaly doesn’t do them any good

It would not surprise me one bit if they traded Garland for other pieces. That's essentially the only asset they have currently.

Edit: Bickerstaff might be toast -- the vets Green and Rubio threw him under the bus by saying that the Knicks wanted the series win more than they did. Ouch. Not a good look for the team or the coaches.
