The funny thing is, I can't even see that happening at this point. I'm starting to feel like there's something deeper to it. Remember talking Dave talking that there's a lot of people DVRing both NXT and AEW, a good bit.

They had a Black Friday discount for the Observer so I was able to see a few Observers in November. In every issue he had the DVR numbers and they made both shows look better.

Vince sold the idea to FOX that wrestling is DVR proof but it really isn't. Especially for people who are busy.

fukk all that DVR & next day viewing bullshyt. You mean to tell me that there isn't anybody doing double viewing? People are more busy on Mondays and Fridays yet those shows can still reach 2mil a piece.

Monday's are established as wrestling night after 27 years of RAW. Fridays aren't as established but FOX is available to 95% of the population and kids can actually watch it since it's not a school night.

Wednesday is the worst night of the week, it's literally hump day because it's the middle of the school and work week.

Look at RAW's ratings, by the third hour it's down to 2 million people from the 2.5 million they started with. If people are getting fatigue during RAW, imagine what happens after two days of work.

So if Smackdown was on Wednesday they'd be getting these same sorry ratings?:stopitslime:

Raw and SD get the ratings they do cause people are used to it coming on and are watching it out of habit. AEW and NXT have been substantially better than both Raw and SD yet get the ratings they do cause one is a new company finding it’s footing and the other is still looked at as development despite all the efforts to paint it as an actual 3rd brand.

The habit part is especially true with RAW.. Monday nights is "wrestling night" since 1993. Smackdown shouldn't be compared to any of these shows it's on network television, anyone can watch it including all the cable cutters. They don't compare cable and network TV.

But also a lot of the WWE fan base is 50+ age demo. They ain't switching to nothing at this point in their life, it's a proven fact it's brand loyalty. That why 18-49 demo is what advertisers look at now because they figured out that old people are set in their ways and won't buy new shyt.

Before the move to FOX they weren't doing much better than what NXT and AEW do combined right now. It could just be that people ain't feeling those shows or wrestling is dead, whatever one you think :yeshrug:.

It's their loss if they choose to watch the main roster over NXT or AEW. Side note, they'd never move SD to Wednesday's because the Masked Singer does better numbers in every metric.

While all of this is true, SmackDown debuted in ‘99, just 6 years after Raw. There’s still habit with it despite changing networks and days the last 21 years.

Thank God she's killing their ratings, because can you imagine what would've happened if she showed up and they got over a million viewers? Vince probably would've had her main event every RAW from that point on.:scust:
