The long run battle is just Vince making sure AEW never goes over 1 mill again. so he doesn't give a damn if NXT is at 700k for its entirety. As long as AEW is not seeing close to RAW numbers, he'll sleep and eat well.

I had a legit feeling AEW might push 1mill with this one, but it didn't happen, so... Idk anymore. Next week stacked too, so we'll see per usual.

WWE NXT Talents Reportedly Told To "Lay It In" During Matches - Wrestling Inc.

An edict issued by WWE officials may explain why there are so many minor injuries, and some significant injuries, on the WWE NXT brand.

It was noted on Wrestling Observer Live by Bryan Alvarez that NXT talents have been told to "lay it in" on each other for some time now. There's no word on when the rule was passed down, but it was noted that this was done before AEW really got off the ground and brought the competition on Wednesday nights.

It's often said by viewers that NXT matches appear to be more hard-hitting than what we see on RAW and SmackDown, and that some of the in-ring work is more aggressive. Some may chalk it up to the up & coming NXT Superstars fighting for their spots, but it sounds like there's more to it as the roster has been told to "lay it in" when they're performing in the ring.

wonder if that backstage picture with HHH after every little thing NXT does is worth it.

That’s smart. Have your talent get concussed and injured because you want them to lay it in :russ:

As I've said several times, I don't give a shyt about these ratings. Last night's episode of Dynamite was fukking fire.
At least you're not like these annoying ass idiots on Twitter, I've seen everything from the debates and the Masked Singer being blamed for neither show reaching a million viewers. The ratings are what they are and it's better to just sit back and enjoy the program.

I don't understand why people care so much about an archaic and outdated ratings system in 2020. If the show is good, I'll watch it. If the show is not good, I won't watch it. I don't watch NXT often but I'm not going to go shytting on their ratings when I know for the most part, they put on good shows for the most part. I don't need ratings to tell me if a show is good or bad.

Last night was not so good and it's because the main roster stench has spread over the show. It really felt like they just decided to give the night to AEW.
