People don't care about crowd reaction when half the arena is empty. And what's with the hate for SD? RAW is the show that deserves the most scorn from fans.

But they are an alternative tho dummy.

Alternative doesn't mean they're gonna put WWE out of business in a year, but they've quickly become the #2 wrestling company in the country when they didn't even exist a year ago. You stooges just love shytting on the #2 wrestling company because they're the closest to challenging your beloved massa Vince.

TNA had the 'E stooges heated in the early 2010's and ROH/NJPW was also making em mad when they sold out the garden.

Around the time when I was still watching, based on the draft and other moves, SD basically became Raw with a blue and white motif. I’ll have to just take your word for it since I haven’t watched since Kofi lost the title in the way he did.

What’s funny is WWE put NXT on equal footing with AEW by putting them directly against them, thus controlling the narrative. AEW’s flagship show is literally neck and neck with WWE’s third brand, battling it out week after week drawing a fraction of what Smackdown and Raw does on their WORST weeks. Narrative went fromn Vince being nervous because he has “competition” to these nikkas not making a single dent in viewership


HOWEVER, it’s a positive for AEW too for the simple fact that because fans are so distracted by AEW and NXT battling over 8 thousand viewers that beating out NXT has become all that’s important to their fanbase. So even if they get demolished by starters, as long as they can beat the reserves their fanbase all wear that shyt on their chest like a badge of honor..

TBH, Impact start having stooges heated in the late 2000's because before then, the stooges didn't have a issue when Impact wasn't that well known.

This comparison is retarded when both leagues play the game of basketball COMPLETELY different. That's like comparing the NFL to arena football or mlb to softball. Yeah being #2 doesn't mean that much nowadays but they are a much stronger #2 than tna/roh/njpw etc ever were....

Another note this week was a nice chunk of Spectrum customers (me included) had TNT blackout right as “The Replacements” was ending at 7:59pm EST and missed essentially the first hour of Dynamite.

After a bunch of angry social media posts/Tweets from AEW fans, Spectrum finally acknowledged there was indeed an issue that led to their TNT feed to get knocked offline

TNA was never a challenger in any way to WWE & they at least did a million people watching every week. AEW is in a slapfight for ratings with "developmental" after one of their top guys came out talking about having the real stars & sold out arenas.

That's why I'll always respect what TNA did, because they were a legit alternative that deep down knew they would never beat the WWE but at least put on a show. TNA from 05-10 is still some of the best wrestling I've ever seen. AEW comes off like a bunch of people trying to get their exes attention.
