I'm an AEW fan and I think I said in this thread earlier (or in another thread, I forget which), that they would probably average around 850-900k unopposed. I'm completely shocked at the 1.2 million number, especially for a taped show that didn't really stand out too much other than Tyson being a guest enforcer.
I'm a WWE fan and I'm not shocked by either rating. NXT could possibly have gotten a million if they were still working with the 2019 roster, but I said anything less than 1mil for AEW would be a failure. Now if they get more serious and cut out the helter skelter booking they can maintain it. They don't need RAW/SD numbers, but they can't go back to those 800k anymore. I'll become a fan once they get rid of Cody "I gotta always have a moment" Rhodes.:scust:

Part of me wonders if the ratings boost is an outlier because of the week after Wrestlemania bump? Raw was :trash: and it was the highest rated raw in a while.

Doesn’t matter if the show was “stacked” or not. First week unopposed was gonna bring in people they wouldn’t regularly get anyway.

Holla at me if they manage to maintain a 1M average a month from now. :coffee:

My guess is in a month they’ll be at 700-800k.

Outside of the two women's matches, I thought AEW was a dud again.I hate the Young Bucks storyline. Hate whenever the Bucks and Fenix are in the same match because its a sloppy spot fest. The main event was eh. Hopefully the booking gets better. It's been Raw-level bad the past two weeks
