people taking this pandemic era too lightly. Jericho wasn't even supposed to be here at all anymore after losing to Moxley one more time. He did his job correctly in establishing the AEW title and a group of talent in the Inner Circle, and putting Moxley over big time in a long build to taking the title off him.

Jericho was supposed to be on a Fozzy tour, and Moxley was still supposed to be doing a lot of crossbrand promotion work to draw more eyes. All that out the window. AEW spending big money on major stars would be a huge cope since everything was working very well before all this.
What "major stars" could they have gotten that would've swung things in their favor? Smarks don't want to admit it, but when you're no longer a part of the WWE brand you lose a lot of your luster.:yeshrug:

was kinda my point. AEW didn't need to spend big money to get any "major star" since they were on a good path before all this mess with no crowds, some of their big name talents being trapped in different parts of the world and so on.

then doing that spend big money now would just be a way to try desperately get back what they lost out of this year.

First it was AEW ain’t paying these guys nothing, now they’re paying them too much. Yesterday one guy was in the thread, and now he didn’t watch. That’s why I usually avoid this thread. I was entertained by both shows.

They had their eye on FTR for a long time. Brodie Lee was unhappy, why wouldn’t you sign them?

In the realm of tv these numbers continue to suck. These are not very good numbers and neither show has been able to put up good numbers since their debuts last year. The difference is that NXT is house money for the WWE, while Dynamite is the life blood of AEW.
In comparison to what TV numbers used to be, sure. For TV on a Wednesday night in 2020 the only non-CNN/FOXNews programming doing better numbers on a consistent basis was Survivor on CBS and now The Challenge on MTV.

This is why WWE and now AEW get multi-year deals thrown at them without hesitation from these networks, no matter how low the cable viewership bar gets wrestling always lingers near the top even if the product's trash.

all them dealings were happening before the pandemic. I'm talking about people looking at current numbers/direction of the company and thinking AEW needs to sign major stars like an Seth, Owens, and so on to help with all that.

They need their entire roster back, crowds, and no risk of spreading a virus.

Nice spin job. This ain't the 90s where you can grow your product, everything is instant and that's why shows start off big and settle down after a while. Did you ever think that maybe just maybe fans really don't care about AEW that much? Or maybe wrestling isn't the hotbed it used to be, so fans are just going to stick

fukk you so sensitive for? It's funny how the mood changes in here when NXT is on top of this Wednesday night pillow fight.:mjlol:
Youre fukking annoying with this veiled troll job. I didnt watch either show, dont really care how their ratings are AND the only comment I made on it was when AEW was winning and it was about the demographics mattering more than anything. You coming in here taking a victory lap is corny just like BOTH sides of this stupid ass ratings argument.

Really funny how you trolls jump to emotional any time youre proven wrong. If you like WWE, cool. If you like AEW, fine. The stan shyt is corny especially when the same idiotic arguments like the same one you say every week comes up.

They renewed them for four years. So...

It was reported for additional seasons and adding ANOTHER show but you know some people don't let facts get in the way of a good story.

Question, do children have to pay for cable to be counted in ratings?

If I’m a 40 year old man and my 7 and 12 year old watch wrestling, doesn’t that fall in the 40 year old demo? Lol

Do people not remember TNT FUNDS EVERY EPISODE THEY PAY FOR PRODUCTION N ALL THAT....DO U THINK THEY PAY 500,000 A EPISODE SO TONY KHAN CAN MAKE $ OFF COMMERCIALS HIMSELF?

Tnt is basically paying for shows to get funding from sponsors to make there money back and a lil more profit
