i wasn't trying to be a badass. i was saying i don't know what he expected to accomplish in WWE when all he brings to the table is in ring stuff, most people on the roster do these days. i like plenty of workrate/indy guys/short guys, they ain't as devoid of personality as him. basically i don't think he's being misused, i don't see much in him and didn't before they signed him either.

I always thought he was a weird pick up for WWE because his style didn't really fit in, but he was always a reliable fun stiff sprint when he got used. Style wise he'd have been a better fit for NXT UK but fukk NXT UK. There's a lot of talent that aren't going to make a difference if WWE releases them and there's really no reason to keep them hostage if they want out.

I view him and Drew Galuk more of a wrestler's wrestler. Someone who work will be more appreciated by his peers than the fans he'll probably become a dope trainer.

Well yeah, that's why they were both used on the workrate shows, although I think Gulak is a much better fit for WWE overall because of his promo/character work that Oney just doesn't have but also is a character unto itself. I think Oney probably could have waited another year to get really hot on the indies and his entire run probably would have been much different. Seemed like he was stuck doing the Largo Loop for a fukking year before they put him on TV as anything than a sporadic jobber and then once they started using him it was pretty sparingly for another year before becoming a semi-regular guy on TV.

Him and Burch(?) are a really good hard hitting tag team. Unfortunately, both are the tag team version of Cesaro...guys you know can look like world beaters and make others look like a million bucks, but will never be given the ball to roll with in any capacity
